Tom Ricketts was sitting quietly in his office.
"The Cubs have been a futile effort for 100 years, and just 2 years ago our rivals, the cardinals, won the World Series."
"We have to make a change starting from the top"He thought.
"But who?I got it."He then picked up the phone to inform Jim Hendry he needed a new job.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Mark Francis was once the "Next Big Thing" in the majors, but sadly his career as a pitcher was derailed by shoulder and back injuries.
"I need a way back in,retirement is not what it's cracked up to be."
Then the phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Is this Mr.Francis?" the voice said.
"Yes.But who is this?"
"Oh sorry, this is Tom Ricketts proud owner of the Chicago Cubs,I'm calling to see if your interested in the GM vacancy."Ricketts said.
"Really? If your serious I will take it."Mark Francis Replied.
"Good you fly out to Chicago tomorrow at 3,see you then."
"Click"
"What have i got myself into?"Francis thought.

Difficulty:Will change drastically,as i have not played game in a month or two.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Looks good. Cubs logs are always interesting. Can I be draft advisor?

EDIT: I'll take Ryan Theriot and Alfonso Soriano for clients.

____________________________________

Dan Philips
Birth Date 4/4/87
POS 3B
B/T S/L
Philips is an unconventional 3B,he's left handed.
He makes solid contact with the ball and have potential gap power.
He has some quickness, but bad fielding instincts negate this in the field.
Average to below average arm, more suited for 2B.
___________________________________________
Bobby Thompson
Birth Date 1/1/83
Pos SS/2B
B/T L/L
Another unconventional player,left handed.
Makes Solid Contact.
Amazing power ball explodes off his bat.
Doesn't have the fielding ability to play infield more of a DH/Outfield.

"So how do they look?"the scout replied.
"I will send them to the draft advisor soon."

"Hey Frank, tell him how to get here i have to go."
