144, I believe, so he's got 22 games to hit 5 homeruns. He can do it!

Well, that's a no-brainer, unless he gets injured (hopefully not).

I say he finishes with 61 home runs for the season.

That's funny you say that. That's what it said he would have when I chose the auto stat option after I finished him.

Knights Win With an Incredible Comeback

Image – Akitaka Shimozono

Blue Stadium, Sakyō-ku – The Knights won a game that looked dreary from the 3rd inning. In that 3rd inning, the Marines scored a whopping 5 runs. But the Knights came back, with a late inning offensive explosion, scoring 10 runs in the 6th, 7th, and 8th innings alone. And with the win, they’ve reduced their magic number to a miniscule 2 games.

Shimozono was crowned MVP of the game for his 2-RBI double in the 8th inning, which came right after Matsunaga’s RBI double to tie up the game at a score of 7-7. “If it weren’t for Matsunaga’s hit before mine, I wouldn’t be sitting here right now. SO I think this should go to the entire team!” He said after the game.

Does the auto-stat assign random stats, or project season stats?

No homer for Kurihara?

No homer for Kurihara?

It projects season stats, based on abilities, and letter rankings the player has.

Sadly... No.... He's still at 51...

Knights Clinch!

Image Image
Image – Kensou Mori

Blue Stadium, Sakyō-ku – They’ve done it! The Knights have done it! They have clinched the Pacific League in mid September! And they won on a fantastic game. With a final score of 8-3, the Knights beat the Fighters to claim the Pacific League. At first, it didn’t look like the Knights would be able to pull this one off. Falling 3-0 by the 5th inning, but, Fukuchi started the offense for the Knights. He hit a solid solo homerun over the left field fence to give the Knights their first run. In the next inning, they would continue to add to their amount of runs, and even take the lead. Kanazawa hit an absolute shot to left, with Matsunaga on first, to tie the game up at 3. Next pitch, Kurihara hit one over the left field fence to give the Knights their first (and only) lead of the game! Shimozono then added on another run with an RBI double by Shimozono, but he was thrown out at 3rd to end the inning.

In the 8th, they would add 3 more runs to their total, with an RBI double buy Kanazawa, and a 2 run homerun for Kurihara, his 53rd on the year, bringing him within 2 homeruns of the single season record! When asked how he felt about this he said “I’m anxious before pretty much every at bat, I really hope that I can break this record!”

Kensou Mori was given the MVP for the game, for his fantastic managing of this young team. “They’re a great bunch of kids. They all get along well, so I don’t really have much to worry about with them. Plus I’ve got Tanaka, Nomoto, and Shigeno to straighten them out if they do end up doing anything wrong. So that helps.” Kensou said after the game.

We’re on our way to the playoffs!

Kurihara Has Done It!

Image
Image
Image – Goro Shigeno

Blue Stadium, Sakyō-ku – In his best game of the season, Kurihara has tied Sadaharu Oh’s single season homerun record of 55! He hit it in the 4th inning off of pitcher Anthony Lerew. We talked to him after the game, “I feel as if a huge weight has been taken off of my shoulders, though I’ve still got to break this record, I’ve only tied it so far, you know?” We’ll be covering tonight’s game as well, to make sure we capture the moment of his 56th homerun. “Amazing. He drove in 7, and also tied a 50 year old record. Keep in mind, folks, he’s only 18. He can only go up from here.” Manager, Kensou Mori said in his press conference.

What a game it was, yesterday! The Knights were losing right out of the gate, thanks to a 2-run homerun by Cabrera in the top of the 1st inning. Though, in the next half of the inning, they would get it right back, plus more. Matsunaga started off with a single, then he stole 2nd, Egawa was walked, and Kanazawa got a single of his own. Kurihara came up to the plate, and hit one to the wall for a 2-RBI double to tie up the game! 2 batters later, Shigeno would hit one to deep center to give the Knights the lead with a sacrifice fly. They would never look back from there.
