Yeah, the stadium looks sweet. Wish all this stuff was on '11 on Wii. :(

Knights Take Advantage of Ailing Patriots
New England Patriots(2-2) - 17
Nevada Knights(3-1) - 24

Thanks to several injuries to core offensive and defensive players, including Tom Brady, the Nevada Knights defeated the New England Patriots last Sunday, 24 to 17. Leading 10-0 heading into the 3rd quarter, the Knights held on to win, thanks to a 79 yard touchdown to tight end Donald Lee scored just 14 seconds after the Patriots tied it up in the fourth quarter. Other scoring included a 53 yard rush by Kevin Faulk and a 5 yard touchdown pass from Colin Kaepernick to Donte Stallworth.

The Knights play the Texans next Sunday at 1:00 PM.
______________________________________________________

After the game, we interviewed a pleased Rashawn Williams:
"I'm starting to get really excited about this team. Kevin Faulk and Clinton Portis have both been fantastic, opposing defenses just seem lost when facing this two running back attack. My only big concern at the time is the state of the pass blocking. Kaepernick got sacked a ridiculous six times today, which is absolutely unacceptable. It's remarkable that he performed as well as he did. Offensive Line coach John Owens and I plan to work with them on pass block footwork and such. Hopefully it'll show next week against the Texans."

Statistics
Passing
C. Kaepernick - 14-26, 213 yards, 2 TD

Rushing
K. Faulk - 14 attempts, 115 yards, TD
C. Portis - 14 attempts, 88 yards
C. Kaepernick - 2 attempts, 14 yards
M. Karney - 2 attempts, 4 yards

Receiving
D. Lee - 3 receptions, 98 yards, TD
J. Galloway - 3 receptions, 52 yards
T. Houshmandzadeh - 3 receptions, 38 yards
D. Stallworth - 2 receptions, 22 yards
C. Baker - 1 reception, 4 yards
C. Portis - 2 receptions, -1 yard

Knights Move to 4-1
Nevada Knights(4-1) - 29
Houston Texans(2-3) - 17

Chalk another one up for the Nevada Knights, who have taken the division lead with they're 29-17 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday, shocking the football universe. Yet again, they relied heavily on the run, with Faulk and Portis combining for 34 attempts and 18 points, not to mention another 4 by quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The player of the game, however, was linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer, who had 3 tackles and 2 picks, propelling the defense to their 5th straight game allowing 24 points or less.
________________________________________________

We spoke with Hunter Hillenmeyer after the game:
"Yeah, the entire defense has been great this whole season. Everyone's getting their fair share of tackles and sacks and we're really just having a lot of fun out there." When asked about the interceptions, Hillenmeyer replied, "Haha, yeah, those were a lot of fun. On the first one I saw Yates looking for Kevin Walter across the middle. I was trailing him, but I kicked it into another gear and caught up."

The Knights play the 2-2 Browns next Sunday at 4:05 EST.

Statistics
Passing
C. Kaepernick - 22-36, 272 yards, 84.5 passer rating

Knights Fail To Complete Comeback
Cleveland Browns(3-2) - 30
Nevada Knights(4-2) - 24

The Knights took a tough loss on Sunday to the Cleveland Browns. After a 17-14 first half, one that included a 95-yard kick return touchdown by Will Blackmon, the Knights took the lead, 24 to 17 thanks in large part to, this time, a punt return touchdown from Will Blackmon. Despite this, they fell apart in the first 5 minutes of the final quarter, giving up a touchdown and a field goal to make it 30-24. After a three and out and a short drive by the Browns, the Knights got the ball at their own 32 with 2:39 remaining. The drive looked solid until, with 0:40 seconds left, they failed to convert on 4th and 10 from the Browns' 25-yard line, falling just a single yard short of a first down on a slant route to Donte' Stallworth. The Browns proceeded to run the clock out, and the Knights were 4-2.
________________________________________________

After the game, we interviewed GM Tom McAllister:
"In my honest opinion, I think the score made this game seem a lot closer than it really was. The running game struggled big time, just 32 yards on nine carries from our running backs, and Kaepernick barely completed more than half his passes. I'm disappointed, but I'm confident we can bounce back next week."

The Knights will look to do that next week against the Chiefs at home.

Statistics
Passing
C. Kaepernick - 13-24, 160 yards, TD, 88.9 passer rating

Rushing
C. Kaepernick - 1 attempt, 58 yards
K. Faulk - 7 attempts, 26 yards
C. Portis - 2 attempts, 6 yards

Receiving
T. Houshmandzadeh - 3 receptions, 72 yards, TD
D. Lee - 2 receptions, 37 yards
D. Stallworth - 3 receptions, 34 yards
J. Galloway - 1 reception, 14 yards
K. Faulk - 1 reception, 3 yards
C. Portis - 3 receptions

Knights Fall Apart In 4th, Drop Second in a Row
Kansas City Chiefs(3-3) - 38
Nevada Knights(4-3) - 24
For the first three quarters of this game, the Chiefs and the Knights matched each other for, scoring 7, 3, and 7 again in the first, second, and third quarters. After taking the lead on a Clinton Portis touchdown with 7:34 left to go, the Chiefs rallied and scored three more times to win the game by a solid 14-point margin. Once again, the Knights ran the ball quite well, but were unable to get much going through the air, something that can likely be contributed the five sacks given up by the ailing offensive line, which is missing three key players, including left guard Ben Hamilton.

We spoke to head coach Rashawn Williams after the loss:
"Our pass blocking flat-out needs to improve. I've got nothing more to say. I'll see you in two weeks."

Week 8 is the bye week for, the Knights, so as Williams said, see you in two weeks.

Knights Get Destroyed
Denver Broncos(4-4) - 38
Nevada Knights(4-4) - 0
The Knights stumbled out of the gates after their bye week, dropping their third straight 38 to 0 against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos defense completely stymied the Knights' potent 2-man running game, allowing only 23 yards on 12 attempts by Portis and Faulk, who have been performing fairly well to this point. QB Colin Kaepernick struggled as well, completing just 50% of his passes for the second straight week and averaging less than 4.5 yards per attempt.

After the game, we caught up with Tom McAllister:

The Knights will look to bounce back next week against the 3-5 San Diego Chargers.

Statistics
Passing
C. Kaepernick - 15-30, 132 yards, INT, 48.2 passer rating

I said 12-4. Tough to lose a game like that. Frustrating.

You can't have voted 12-4, because I'm the only one that has done so.

Knights Drop Fourth In A Row
Nevada Knights(4-5) - 24
San Diego Chargers(4-5) - 31

The Knights kicked off the scoring in the first quarter with a 66-yard screen pass to Kevin Faulk, a touchdown that was promptly responded to by a Patrick Crayton touchdown catch. Field goals by each team capped off the scoring for the first half, one we went into tied at 10. The Chargers took their first lead of the game with just 0:46 seconds left in the 3rd on a 60-yard Jordan Todman punt return TD. The two touchdowns the Knights scored in the 4th quarter were matched by the Chargers, and the final score remained in favor of the Chargers, 31 to 24, making it the Knights' fourth straight loss.
_______________________________________

We spoke with Rashawn Williams after the game:
"Special teams and turnovers. That's what's killing us. Four of them. Four turnovers. Two in the red zone and another at the San Diego 34. A fourth in the middle of a two-minute drill when we're trying to come back. That's downright unacceptable. Oh, and we've given up eight return touchdowns. Unbelievable."

The Knights play the 3-6 Minnesota Vikings next Sunday at 1:00
