Well, this is what I think of those two:

Porcello - Mainly a sinker (Either level 4 H-SNK or 3 SNK) guy capable of throwing 94-95, but tends to do much better when he sits more around 91. He has an OK slider that is basically his secondary secondary pitch. I don't think he has much of a changeup, if he throws one at all. He's only 22 or 23 so he's still got a long ways to go in terms of development, I can see him being a guy putting up a 3.50 ERA year in and year out if he improves.

Scherzer - At the moment, probably the better of the two. He's 27 and he has a good variety of pitches. He tops out at 95 or 96 and has a good slider that he uses to get strikeouts. I'm pretty sure he also throws a changeup and a 2-seamer to a lesser degree. He's been sort of up-and-down through his short 4-year career, with ERA's of 3.05, 4.12, 3.50, and 4.43 respectively. Still, I see him as a more reliable starter, at least for now, than Porcello. (Note: Also has two different colored eyes for intimidation purposes.)
