I was always constantly switching out partners because I felt a certain loyalty to Goombella, being the first partner, and the Yoshi, for being awesome. The way the game is set up with each character having their own personality and responding differently to certain events is incredible. I would hit X in every new area I came up in just to read what Goombella had to say.

Oh, uh, Backyard Baseball.
