i actually just started a big project for a HOFer. im making Candy Cummings. he was a pitcher in the late 19th century. he claims to be the first person to throw a curveball, so i'm going to make a level 7 curve and try to get the dad's training storyline to make it original. i'm hoping to upgrade it at least 15 times (it might take a week or two). then ill give him a low 90's fastball because he had a small stature. finally im planning on very high stamina (230+) because he was the first person to pitch two complete games in one day. blue abilities will be anything that has to due with a curveball or high stamina. i'm thinking spin 4, fastball life 4, gd delivery, etc.

Sounds like a cool one to do!

I just finished up Bob Gibson earlier this evening, I'll post his details in the HoF thread maybe tomorrow. He turned out very well. Now I'm trying to decide who I want to do next. I was thinking about maybe another real old timer like a Christy Mathewson or Walter Johnson, but I'm heavy on right handed starters so I'm thinking about a lefty or two to do. Maybe Sandy Koufax and Whitey Ford?

Was Candy Cummings pitching at the time when everyone threw underhand?

So are you going to give him a low top speed?
I'd prefer if you made him realistic in some aspects, but still good enough to be effective.

i dont know what pitching motion he had, so i gave him paul byrd's. im going to try to make him realistic. here are my ideas on stats and where i am on them:

top speed- 95 (so he can throw in the low 90's)
stamina- 230+ or as much as i can
control- i really havent found any info on this so im sort of pushing it to the back of the list

curveball (7)- customized with at least 15 better breaking ball upgrades
changeup (3)

blue abilities
spin 4
fastball life 4
recovery 4
str finisher
poise 4
battler 4

^^^^^^^^^^
that is what im hoping to get, here is where i am as of the first week in april in year 2:

top speed 85
stamina- 106
control-101

curveball (7)- 5 upgrades so far
change up (2)

blue abililties
spin 4
fastball life 4
recovery 4
str finisher
gd delivery
i have a lot of work but right now im going to raise top speed, then stamina. ill use leftover points at he end of games for the changup and other abilities.

EDIT: ill be changing this post as i go along

See the earlier post for stats. Pre-registering results in a salary under 2000; registering for an existing season is a little over 7000. One reason he's so cheap compared to a maxed-out batter might have to do with the number of abilities. Gaia had around 40 and Arteaga has 28 I think. Just an idea, but its weird that a maxed pitcher would be so cheap. Maybe I screwed him up somewhere but I don't see it. If someone sees something let me know. Enjoy! :D

That guy is insanely amazing. The 1st time I ever got a password to work. I had to check the date it was posted to make sure it wasn't an April Fools joke.

For the Wii, found on a different topic, thought I'd put it here. Nearly-maxed out stats, a little lacking on abilities. Catcher, Genius. Creator: MrWelz Still the best catcher I've seen.

Can someone double-check the Tim Lincecum and MrWelz (the guy I copied from somewhere else) passwords?

I tried them, and have been unsuccessful after double/triple checking. Am I going dyslexic?

I believe the preferred method for just about everyone on the boards is pictures, as there is no way to get those wrong.
