* If you post a team or a set of players, add players by editing your starting post so they're all in the same post. A bump to announce the edit is appropriate.
* Posting images are fine, provided they are small in dimension and data. 800x600 and ~50Kb should be the biggest you can post inline (using the [IMG] tag), anything larger, post a link or a clickable thumbnail instead.

Well actually I did get the gambling ring, but it was the second Christmas, so I didn't have it the whole previous year. I forgot he was the first player I used the ring on, but not until late in game. I did use gambling tickets quite a bit though.

I'm working on getting Lou Gehrig and my SS up. Should have them posted soon.

haha - success! I created the ultimate budget player. He's a catcher with a *ton* of abilities. His contact rating however is *1*. I signed him late in my season for only 1470 and he started out batting around .150 He finished the season with an average slightly over .200 - which meant he was actually batting at the end of the season around .250 since I had started training his contact.

I managed to resign him to a 3 year deal for..... 400 a season! HAHA Anyways, after training him up a bit more in spring training he's already batting over .300 at the start of the season and his contact rating is still only D. Once it gets up to A I can only imagine.

Anyways, I'll post him later today.

Here is my short stop, named after the creator:

Some notes on Lou:

Was my first attempt at an exploited save/reload character. I didn't have the gambling ring at all, just used tickets.

He is probably to fast and needs a boost to his power for sure, but overall I like him for a decent left handed power hitter.

I'm sure someone (or I) could remake him a little bit better as he was one of the greatest of all time.

Nice, I need to try that out to fill some holes on my expansion team.

Just a random notice:

Has anyone made any second baseman, corner outfielders, catchers, and closers that are really good? All I see are shortstops, starters, centerfielders, and corner infielders. All I've seen are Fingers and Jackson.

I was planning on doing a second baseman and a few corner outfielders next.

Not really trying to max any of them though, just takes way to much time.

More of an approach to specialization for each player.

And I think you see mainly pitchers, SS, CF's because like in real baseball you need to be strong up the middle.

I might do a catcher next.

Ya, I've got a sweet second baseman and catcher that I made. I just haven't posted them yet as it takes a while without a camera. R Wilshere is a shortstop but he has secondary positions of second base and third as well. Guy batted .485 for me last season. :)

They're PS2 characters though and I think you're looking for Wii ones.

yeah, PS2 Pw's are useless to me, but maybe not to others.

The reason I didn't use Cano or Posadawas because there was already a player of that name in Season Mode. I know there's an orange bar under the name, but I didn't want to get confused.

Can anyone post a quick way to create characters ? The RPG fan prob loves the success mode aspect of this game but i dont care much for it. what im in love with is the actual gameplay in season mode. a quick way to create characters would be nice, to completely finish updating my rosters and getting started on the 2008 season. any help or info is appreciated, thanks ...

unfortunately, no.

Other than using other people's passwords, the only other way would be editing players.

If you don't care about the names, you could take a random unimportant player like a Kevin Thompson and edit his stats so he would be like Justin Upton, or something like that.

I think the best players to edit are the "Greats" that kind of suck (Wood, Anderson, etc.), because the names won't seem as awkward, and you aren't losing much at all.

F - Do these new players look like their namesakes or do they look exactly like Cano, Rodriguez, and all the other beasts you made? I would prefer that they looked alike - making it a little bit more pleasing and realistic - which I why I like McBeth and Powner the most.
