Well, you might be on to something. It seems a little too coincidental that both our players have Genius and they both started with that rare combo of Gd Sense/Gd Stats...we'll have to see if anyone else has any info on it.

EDIT: Whoops, misread your post. If you've played past games in the series then you obviously have experience with this. But that's awesome, now I feel a little better about not getting Intimidator (not really... :cry: )

Clut]h Hit 5, Vs Lefty 5, Contact Hitter, Power Hitter, Spray Hitter, Push Hitter, Hot Hitter, Tough Out, Bunt Master, Grt IF Hitter, Gd B2B Hitter, Firstball Hitter, Table Setter, BL Hitter, Walk-Off Hitter, Rally Hitter, Gd Pinch Hitter (LOL - like I'd have a 15,000 salary player on the bench :) ), Throwing 4, Durability 4, Consistency 4, Stealing 4, Base Running 4, Gold Glover, Barehand Catch, Spider Catch, Cannon Arm, Pivot Man (for all those triple plays :D ), Hd 1st Slide, Tough Runner, Gd Block, Grt Catcher, Slugger, Patient Hitter, Aggressive STL, Agressive Run, Aggressive FLD, and a handful of pitching abilities just for kicks

As mentioned earlier, he does cost 15,000 no matter how you slice it; preregistering doesn't help

I need a right handed power hitter to clear the damn left center wall in Panpaka Park.

B power doesn't cut it, although it's fun hitting triples.

Well I think it's great enough that you were able to max out everything in the truest sense (ie 255 power and 15s in everything else). The thing with hitter's Intimidator though it that if you become Captain in your second year you miss out on ABs to give yourself more hot hitting zones. Of course theoretically you can give yourself additional ABs by mounting a huge 8th inning rally, but I have neither the skills or patience for that...yet ;)

There is a player right above your post with all the power you'll ever need....or I should say that you could ever have :D
PW is on the previous page, but be prepared to count your pennies(15,000 of them)
I also have a SS who could help you out, I think he's on the first page (Ultimate - 189 pwr). He's a little more cost friendly.

EDIT: My bad, SS is on the thread at the bottom of the PW exchange section - "Plagiarism with Citations"

Yeah, I thought about the hitting zones, at least I got all of those. I guess tough choices have to be made, it just sux to be so close to perfection because I know it will be a long time before I attempt it again, if ever. Just 3 more stupid abilities...

Yeah I see him. (unreal)I just finished with my Mantle character, I'm going to have some more players uploaded soon. Scrubs compared to some that I have seen, but he is a pretty decent CF.

I will have Lou Gehrig and Scott Stafford (My name, SS) up soon too.

I messed up on Cy Young's team and Gehrig as I picked my favorite for them, the White Sox.

Cy's number represents the number of wins in his career, the most ever by a starter since they didn't wear numbers when he played.

not bad at all, although Mantle was probably closer to perfect than Reggie Jackson, but different people go different ways.

Cy Young probably should have had maxed out Stamina given how he also has records in those categories as well.

Nevertheless, it's better than anything I could do, so thanks for the players!

No problem at all, happy to share them.

I agree with Cy on his stamina, however it was my first attempt at a pitcher and I didn't have the gambling ring.

Lou is kind of in the same boat, first attempt at a hitter.

that's pretty darn good.

My best without it for hitters is a guy with B power and C's and D's and E's for other categories. My best ring-less pitcher had an 89 top speed, and level 4 knuckleball, vertical slider and a level 2 drop curve. Only two abilities - vs lefty 4 and good low pitch - gained from a glove.

Hmmm ... I started my second go around on Cy Young this evening, but since he's already done I might go ahead and scrap him and do someone else instead.

I think I'll start a thread for historical hall of famers so we can talk about who we're working on (or planning to work on) without overlapping :)
