Well all the trades in Life were nice and fair until Billy Beane got in on the fun. A minor league prospect I've never heard of for B.J. Ryan, A.J. Burnett, and Wolfe. Then he turns around and gets K-Rod for another no-name prospect!

What is your best trade in season mode? In July of season one (2007) I was shocked to get Haren, Harden, Swisher AND 5000 owner points for Carlos Zambrano & Wade Miller. The trade had a four-star rating! The three players together have less salary than Zambrano, plus each one is signed for 2 or more years, but Zambrano is up for F/A and so is Miller. They must not have built in the Billy Beane philosophy for the A's! |

Hm, my best trade.... I can't think of all the trades I made. I think my best trade was trading Paul Lo Duca (I had got him in a previous trade) to the Giants for Barry Zito. I think this trade had a 4 or 5 star success rate, too. I couldn't believe how desperate the Giants were for a catcher that they gave up their ace. |

Anyway, i got a decent trade, but i've yet to make any major ones. Abraham Nunez (Great Wood) and Joe Bisenius (long reliever, E stam, G cont, 2 lvl 1 breakers, 88mph) for Melky (All C's and D's 4 throwing 4 2nd P Spray Hitter.) I don't think there was any money, i'm not positive |

Ok - I just finished the 2007 season as the pirates. I had made a few moves, dealing bloated contracts like Jack Wilson for minimum salary guys - Pedroia and Kason Gabbard. Pedroia doesn't have any appreciable skills in this game, so he really didnt do so hot for me; I ended up going with Sanchez/Castillo for most of my year, and won the WS with Pedroia in AAA. In the offseason, the Marlins offer me C Miguel Olivo SS Alfredo Amezaga 1B Mark Jacobs All for 2B Pedroia. I had just signed Chris Woodward as my backup defensive infielder, and Jose Molina as my backup catcher...but this trade was too good not to take. Three guys making league-minimum-range (Amezaga makes the most at like 790). I can use them as trade pieces or role players. Awesome! |

I believe at one point I got Johan Santana and Joe Mauer for Hideki Matsui and Jose Molina. |
