I have a success player (3rd base) in my season mode with a very bad throwing speed (65mPh). Do you have any idea on how I could make his arm stronger? |

i made a mike schmidt in success mode and made sure i gave him lots of arm strength. his arm is an absolute cannon. make sure you're not looking on the pitcher's attribute screen for your fielders (his pitch speed won't matter, because he's not a pitcher). if you've already got him in season mode and you want him to throw harder, buy one of the gloves from the shop and put him in fielding practice to work on his fielding, error resistance, and arm strength. if you can afford the 3-star glove, use it during spring training and all three of his fielding abilities will go through the roof. hopefully after a season or two of this, you'll have no problems with his performance at the hot corner. conversely, you could just re-do your character in success mode! |

I just discovered that arm strength affects a pitchers mph (when arm str is maxed pitches will be 1-2 mph faster then someone who is just a 5). I didn't think about until your post, but is it possible that it works the other way too; that mph could also affect a fielders throw? I agree with the above post though; you definitely should look to your fielding stats first. Your guy should have no problem after maxing those out. |

How can you tell what your throwing speed is from the field? |

You can't; he's looking at the pitcher's stat page. |
