First off I'm going to say that in no way, shape or form am I a Giants fan. I chose them for my franchise because I was highly attracted to their pitching staff and thought I could try my best with their bullpen. The starting lineup, also, can use a little help but I'm doing just fine with that so far.

4.3.07 - ZITO DOMINANT, BENITEZ BLOWS LEAD, GIANTS WIN IN EXTRA'S
Barry Zito was nothing short of masterful in his opening day start. Striking out fourteen in over eight innings pitched, Zito's performance was an eighty-nine pitch masterpiece. Though he didn't finish with a win, his outing was one to remember -- even though it's the first game of the year. On the Giants' offensive side of the ball, Pedro Feliz smacked his first home run of the season to left field. His four hundred foot whallop of a blast drove in two runs. The Giants, after Benitez fell apart in the ninth inning, came back and won in the tenth on a walk-off single by Great Gonzalez. 6-5, Final Score.

4.4.07 - GIANTS TAKE SECOND WALK-OFF VICTORY
Starting pitcher Matt Cain faltered late in the game, allowing three, seemingly deathly, runs in the sixth inning, tying the game at eight all. The Padres' hopes of coming back all the way, however, were thrown into the fire when Ray Durham hit a two-run, walk-off home run to dead center field in the bottom of the ninth inning. This, obviously, ended the game in the Giants' favor for their second straight opening series win, both of which in walk-off fashion. 10-8, Final Score.

Who is Great Gonzalez? Can't be Bonds, is he?

I'm under the impression that there's a "Great" something on every team in the game. Other than the Cardinals, my friend tells me. But I'm pretty sure that he WOULD be Bonds if he had a regular name. A player I'm curious about is "Great-something" on the Reds, he's a short stop. Kevin Millar, first baseman on the the Orioles is also a "Great."

13 is a lot. Who are the players they're replacing? Do you know?

40-50 is just an amazingly heinous number of missing players.

They aren't all real people in 08. Some are just there to fill in farms for teams without good ones.

Really? I didn't know that. I thought they were all replacing real players.
