Has anyone gone through the entire season undefeated? If so do you get anything special for it? |

Probably A-Rod carrying a message saying "turn the difficulty up, we don't like getting slaughtered." Just kidding. Honestly, I doubt anything special if anything at all... This isn't the NFL... we aren't expected to go without losing. You have 6 pitchers, not 1 ALMOST perfect Patriot QB. Going 140-22? possible, and that would be considered pretty powerful. Seriously, I find no satisfaction being perfect... either it requires me to use a high handicap or save/reload forever. |

Yeah, I know it is impossible in the real world for that to happen. I didn't know if they considered that in the game though. So far I'm perfect half-way through May. I might try it and see how it goes. |

My first season in season mode I had to play a lot of games in order to win the World Series.... second season it was more or less the same. This season however? Mu ha ha ha! I clinched the division title with more than a month left in the season! This season was 100% simmed. I never played a single game. My total salary was 69920 - not super cheap but nothing crazy either. 142 Wins, 20 Loses HAHA! Some notable stats: R Wilshere batted .481! Goro finished the season with 25 wins and 0 loses. ERA of 1.07 26 total starts in the season 5 pitchers with over 19 wins Pretty damn close to a perfect season if you ask me. ![]() Blue Jays and Yankees tied for second in the division(I'm using an expansion team).... 50 games back! I went 1620-0 over 10 seasons with my guys, canseco, jackson, ultimate, and fingers. I would routinely get 2,000 runs, >.400 team BA. .30 team ERA and just look at my sig for some notable seasons. You don't get anything special and I had the difficulty on all-star, lock on 1 for CPU and me. |

I added the tremendous players of KingCobretti, mrsims31, and The-F (among other success players)- in addition to getting Pujols, A-Rod, and Utley with my first three picks of the dream draft and later trading for Nathan and King Felix Hernandez. With this roster, I currently have only 2 losses a few weeks after the All-Star break: Pitchers- 1 Felix Hernandez 2 Roger Clemens (The-F) 3 Nolan Ryan (Wyl) 4 Ryan Soohoo (Rsoohoo) 5 Cole Hamels 6 Jericho Campbell (J-Gao) 7 Shaman King (J-Gao - I'll post him soon - lefty reliever with B control and C stamina, maxed-out 2SFB, FOSH, and H-SHU and 105 4SFB) 8 Joe Nathan 9 Li (expansion) 10 Jon Papelbon 11 Joe Blanton 25[I know how to count] Scott Baker Hitters 12 DH- Ryan Howard 13 1B- Albert Pujols 14 2B-Robin Hood (J-Gao) 15 1B/CF-Andrew Gao (J-Gao) 16 SS/CF- Ultimate (mrsims31) 17 2B Chase Utley 18 3B/LF- Gaia (mrsims31) 19 3B- Alex Rodriguez 20 SS- Ozzie Smith (Wyl) 21 C- Brian McCann 22 C- Devon Lanster (J-Gao) 23 RF- Reggie Jackson (KingCobretti) 24 CF- Adam Jones (someone else) Payroll - a little over 97000, currently +18000 in owner points My previous team that disregarded points and payroll went 158-4. What the luxury tax threshold number? |

To find out the luxury tax, go to free agent acquisition and press C and right on control stick and you should see it. |

Wow, a 97,000 payroll with all those guys? I've only played a few seasons in season mode. I know you can preregister players to keep salary down, but that still seems pretty low with all the non-success players you have. How did you do it? What year are you in? I'm assuming the 1st; tell me anything else and I'll be completely blown away. |

If that is a 1st year team, then the payroll is tremendously high. An all success teams hould have a less than 40,000 payroll for the 1st year, then double the second year, and increase steadily from there. |

First off, yeah, it's higher than I wanted now that have contract renewal coming up - projected to get into the 120000-130000 (don't count the zeroes) range. But it is lower than when I used the Yankees. And the above roster is a little inaccurate (but not by much): Here's the final after the 1st year WS - I cut some more payroll so it's now down around 92-93000 (and I'm still missing one player that I can't remember, an RP). Pitchers- 1 Felix Hernandez 2 Roger Clemens (The-F) 3 Nolan Ryan (Wyl) 4 Ryan Soohoo (Rsoohoo) 5 Cole Hamels 6 Jericho Campbell (J-Gao) 7 Shaman King (J-Gao - I'll post him soon - lefty reliever with B control and C stamina, maxed-out 2SFB, FOSH, and H-SHU and 105 4SFB) 8 Joel Zumaya 9 Li (expansion) 10 Jon Papelbon 11 Joe Blanton 12 Scott Baker Hitters 13 1B- Albert Pujols 14 2B-Robin Hood (J-Gao) 15 1B/CF-Andrew Gao (J-Gao) 16 SS/CF- Ultimate (mrsims31) 17 2B Robinson Cano 18 3B/LF- Gaia (mrsims31) 19 3B- Alex Rodriguez 20 SS- Ozzie Smith (Wyl) 21 C- Brian McCann 22 C- Devon Lanster (J-Gao) 23 RF- Reggie Jackson (KingCobretti) 24 DH- Ryan Howard The following players all had sub-1000 salaries: McCann Howard Cano Baker Blanton Papelbon Li Hamels Hernandez Zumaya I registered all but Lanster, Gaia, Fingers, and Jones (the last two were traded) at the start. A-Rod, Gaia, and Pujols were the only players with 5-digit salaries (27,15, and 17.5 thousand - I think). |

There is a way to get a perfect season but you get almost no points for it. See you have to MAX out all your teams stats using the edit player function. Eventually when they get old and start burning out you trade them for prospects like Texeria, Rios, and Markakis (and start training them to all A stats). You can skip entire seasons and lose almost no games. I managed to get a 700k owner points at max and a 200-300k salary. The problem is I only got 200 points at the end. Well, as they say, cheaters never win. |

the points at the end: how are they calculated? I got a perfect season through success players and at least 5 trades a season my salary is just under 100000 after the third year. |

Well they're calculated by the number of innings you played. With the super A team you don't have to play any games...I only played the all star games. |

so for every inning you play you get 1 point? |
