When I unlocked it, it was my first season, I had a success player who played regularly (and won several awards), won the wildcard, and won the world series. I don't think I swept the world series, but I may have swept the NLCS. I was thinking maybe points had something to do with it but J-Gao proved that wrong (unless its tied to unlocking a certain amount of the single game bonus point categories?). Maybe it has to do with winning some of the awards? Has anyone unlocked it WITHOUT a success mode player?

Maybe, but I didn't play a single game of the season - other than the All-Star game. I didn't do anything other than that, the draft, and game 4 of the world series. I played the season for the sole purpose of unlocking the arrange team.

If you really want it, I suggest loading up on The-F's and/or KingCobretti's players, ignore salary and sim through the season. Maybe you should also add your OWN created player just in case. This should lead to a near undefeated season, and a sweep through the playoffs (save/load in case you drop a game). If this doesn't unlock it, I don't know what does!

Is the backorder anything like the season point extras?

They were always on backorder for me until I just simply purchased them......

It's the same back order, but the season point extras are a lot easier to unlock - you just buy the one that's ranked below it to unlock the next "level." Back order just means that it needs to be unlocked somehow.

Now I am getting really irritated. I started a new season with the Yankees, added a success mode character to the lineup, simmed the whole season, won the division, won the ALCS, beat the Mets in the WS, and IT'S STILL ON BACKORDER!!

Did you sim the WS too? I simmed most of the season (controlled around 45 games myself) but when the playoffs came I played the entire thing and it was unlocked, so maybe its that.

Also, I never heard whether you actually unlock the single game point bonuses if you're simming the games. If you can't unlock them by simmimg then there's a chance that could be tied to it also.

maybe the success mode guy isn't it... maybe it's a vanilla team clearing the regular season and WS should do it?

I think I have to just put my success mode players on an expansion team or something. This won't unlock to matter what I do. The only other thing I haven't done is erase all Season Mode games and do a fresh one.

Ummm. I played only game 4 of the WS and got it. Try this:

Choose any team as a base, release entire roster, and register all custom players (good ones, that is). Use Rookie settings.
Sim through the season. If you used all of The-F's characters as well as Soohoo, or Reggie Jackson, it should be a cinch. Add your own just for good measure. (if you don't feel like adding a ton of passwords, just edit your own players into all A's - you can restore the original stats later by just selecting that option). Once in the playoffs, sim through, you'll very likely sweep all the DS and CS games. Play the final game 4 for the sweep in the WS.
Play the AS game, too. That's pretty much what I did.

I know we're smart enough to figure this out! What if we set up a series of poll questions for people to "vote" on. (Ex. Did you unlock arrange with a success player on your team? YES/NO, Did you sim games? and so on and so on) It would be a way of keeping everything organized and we could eliminate possibilities pretty easily. We could devote an entire thread to it and we could call it "DarkShade needs your help!!!"

One really jacked-up success mode hitter (Ultimate, Gaia, The-F's Cano, Reggie Jackson) should pretty much seal the deal.

1. WS
2. ALCS or NLCS
3. ALDS or NLDS
4. MVP
5. ROTY
6. Hitter of the Year? Hank Aaron?
7. Gold Glove
8. Silver Slugger
9 - whatever - Player of the Week/Month

This would also take care of the success mode player hypothesis.
