When you guys say "I made so and so this eve" do you mean created a player and took him all the way thru success mode? Is that the only way to get a custom player in the game is to get thru success mode? I just created myself and spent a couple hours in success mode only to find he didn't make it to the majors and the game was over and my player wasn't saved.

I wish you could create players from ground up without success mode and edit names and teams etc but you can't it seems. I'm a noob can you help me on this ?

You can go to data and edit current MLB players. You can't edit some things like age though.

You can also make a person using MLB Life in 2008 mode, but can only use them via password using the mirror of truth. If you don't fail in success you can use that person too.

I prefer editing players instead of success mode, takes less time. Only thing about that is birth dates are incorrect. Could be older/younger than actual player you want.

so can you edit the stats and even the names of the players on the teams? I couldnt figure out how to change the names. I want to create an arrange team and use like the yanks as a base and then edit everything so the names are different. Please advise - thanks

Yes, just go to data and click where it says edit. Then you can edit all players on all 30 teams including free agents. You can edit names, appearance, stances, and stats. Just click on player you want to edit. And yes, arrange works well with edits also.
