I noticed the team data while messing around and though I'm sure others have noticed it too, I figured I'd bring it up.

B=Rank for batting P=Rank for Pitching F=Rank of fielding
I also added colors to the teams so it's prettier to look at...

1st Red Sox: B 4 P 5 F 23
2nd Mets: B 6 P 3 F 1
3rd Angels: B 10 P 8 F 10
4th Indians: B 2 P 16 F 19
5th Tigers: B 1 P 23 F 17
6th Diamondbacks: B 19 P 4 F 16
7th Brewers: B 7 P 10 F 24
8th Athletics: B 20 P 2 F 5
9th Padres: B 27 P 1 F 2
10th Braves: B 11 P 12 F 22
11th Yankees: B 3 P 20 F 9
12th Dodgers: B 25 P 6 F 26
13th Mariners: B 12 P 26 F 15
14th Marlins: B 8 P 17 F 28
15th Phillies: B 5 P 27 F 20
16th Blue Jays: B 13 P 14 F 13
17th Twins: B 18 P 13 F 8
18th Cubs: B 15 P 9 F 3
19th Giants: B 23 P 7 F 7
20th Rockies: B 17 P 21 F 6
21st Orioles: B 22 P 11 F 4
22nd Devil Rays: B 9 P 30 F 30
23rd Astros: B 21 P 15 F 18
24th White Sox: B 30 P 18 F 11
25th Reds: B 14 P 24 F 27
26th Cardinals: B 26 P 28 F 14
27th Rangers: B 16 P 29 F 29
28th Pirates: B 28 P 25 F 12
29th Nationals: B 29 P 19 F 21
30th Royals: B 24 P 22 F 25

The rankings are pretty confusing because there isn't really a basis for all 3 of the rankings and their value compared to each other. Some teams are seem vastly over and underrated. (Cubs, Giants, and Orioles tend to do well in their divisions, despite being in the bottom half. The Red Sox are great in real life but just don't seem to perform well in-game.) Of course it's not the most accurate thing in the world, but it's kind of interesting seeing what the game itself thinks how the teams match up.

I've never seen this, I guess I just haven't looked in the right place.

What? This year or last year? Because I find the Yankees when I don't play them have the best record (besides me) by far. The red sox are always doing terrible. The mets are always second. I think that might not be right.

Oh, no, these aren't season results or anything, this are rankings that the game flat out gives you when you press Y as you're selecting a team in exhibition. And yeah, this is from this from 2007.

There are a lot of mysteries that come with this list. Devil Rays are dead last in fielding and actually have some decent defense, while the Red Sox are ranked #1 even though their fielding rank is so low and they never do well in season mode. It's pretty odd stuff.

I never noticed it. Royals should still be crappy in 08, good luck with a Life mode with that team.

We all need a challenge every now and again.

Square. The controls are actually shown at the bottom of the screen.

They never do well in my seasons. For about half the year they compete with the Rays for last place before ending up third but a far distant from second.

I think I've actually done this before in arrange mode. You can see all sorts of top speed rankings and stuff.

I just tried this, and sure enough it rates the teams. I didn't know it was there.
