Do any of you know when the next one comes out?

What do you think it'll be like?

Do they have this game for Basketball (i.e. NBA PowerPros)?

From what I've read I think this is already a sequel to a popular franchise game over in Japan. If they decide to make another one for the 'states (if they sell enough copies) they'll have updated rosters and some more features, maybe online play.

I don't think they've done any other sports like this, since baseball is huge in Japan and basketball/football not so much.

I can't wait for the new one. It'd be cool if you could somehow sync it with the internet to update rosters when they change.

oh god, if you're listening, please make konami/2k sports release a sequel or sequels to this in the states on either PS2 or Wii.

The sequel won't come out for at least another year.
Don't wet yourself over it.
I just hope it doesn't get too fancy. I don't like complicated games.

From what I've read about the Pawapuro series (as it is known in Japan), the changes from year to year are largely incremental. I saw a post on some board that Konami already has an initial site up for next year's Japanese MLB Power Pros game, but it is all in Japanese. No indication either way as to whether we'll get a follow up in the States, but I'm optimistic we will.
