Post subject:  I have updated rosters and stats...but I need help

Hey, everyone.......just wanted to tell everyone I have everything updated and what everyone is looking for but I have no idea how to do the technical work to put the save online.

Just to let everyone know what I have........

- Updated rosters for 2008 that is current up to February 26, 2008 (e.g. Colon is on the red sox AAA team)

- Official updated edit stats for specific players from Konami (e.g. Upton, Pena, Kotchman, etc) who excelled last season.

- Unlocked Arrange team from shop

- All new players created (e.g. Joba, Kuroda, Hughes, Kobayashi, etc)

- I'm currently creating the new D-rays uniform

So what do I need?

I have a USB flash drive but I heard I need to buy something more than that.....

Oh and this is a PS2 save file if anyone interested. Thanks.

what website did you use to make all the correct moves? Was there one site that had every transaction listed?

Could you possibly post what changes you made so us Wii users can get up-to-date?

That's great, but how did you know what to edit the stats of guys to take into account last season. Did you edit them based on what you felt was right or is there someplace that you can find the stats? Same goes for the success mode guys you created.

I remember something about needing one of those memory cards that unlock the PS2's memory so it can be transferred via USB, but as I don't have one, it's only a rumor.

Game Shark or something like that... More than likely you can get it from a Best Buy (or similar) or a gaming store.

I have an Action Replay Max which lets me put saves on my USB flash drive and my PS2 recognizes it, thus allowing me to send stuff from the flash drive to a memory card.

It's only like $30 :)

Oops sorry......

I used the Japanese website

http://www.konami.jp/gs/game/pawa/major2/index.html Its under Password. Since the Japanese fans did not recieve the edit option Konami released official passwords for players to use.

For those who want the updates stats for the Wii:

Jason Varitek

3 arch
Contact 7
Power 152
Throwing arm 8
Fielding 12

Abilities: 2 clutch, Free swinger, aggressive defense

Manny Ramirez

3 arch
Contact 10
Power 178
Arm - 8
Fielding - 6
Speed - 6
Error - 12

Abilities: Clutch 4, intimidator, star

Todd Helton

3 arch
Contact - 11
Power - 174
Arm - 13
Speed - 8
Error - 14

Abilities: Average hitter, 2 against lefties, consitant 4, bare-hand catch, patient hitter

Iwamura

2 arch
contact - 7
Power - 144
Arm - 10
Field- 8

Abilities: 2 clutch hits, 4 againt lefties, table setter

From what I can tell, it seems that high contact is ONLY for really good hitters e.g. Ichiro.

Even if a player hit over .300 it does not mean to give him contact A or B.

on the site, there is a link for a bunch of passwords.

Could you translate the names of the players and the passwords (wii)?

@.@

I really should kick my Japanese learning in gear :P

From a quick glance it appears this is a horrible cryptogram... each phonetic word translates into a symbol....

Of course, as I know that programmers on the whole are lazy, they may have used something akin to an ASCII set for japanese characters, that would translate into the US symbols we all understand.

Toss this through a translator, you'll find the passwords sometimes creates really odd sentences.

They at least get the names right :D

Congrats for your work. I have been looking for updated ps2 rosters forever!

To transfer the file from ps2 to your PC, the easiest way, is to buy a Max-Drive. It is a 16MB USB pen that comes with a disc.

You insert the disc on your ps2 (it doesn´t need to be chipped, the disc works as a original) and it will load a menu. Then, you navigate through the menu until you see your memory card. You choose the file and then select uncrush to usb.

And that´s it! The file is in your usb pen. Then, you can transfer it to pc and upload it in easy-share, rapidshare, etc...

It´s really easy and it would help many people!

There are other way´s to do this, but you would need a modded PS2 (with swapmagic 3.6 or a chip).

Thanks, and let us have that file!!!! Pleeeeeease.... ;)

Maybe if someone was able to translate each character in the Japanese code, we'd find a correlation to the Latin charset and be able to manipulate it :P
