Are the players in the season mode draft real? |

Nope. Just generated names I believe. |

Are they the same characters or do they just have the same names? |

probably the same names, haven't paid much attention to the stats. They DO seem to have the same overall "scrub" stats except for a few RARE incidents where you get a pitcher with A control and B stamina, or a rookie catcher who rivals Mauer. They're mostly the scrub team or world gatherings people. |

I don't think it generates many different names - every year there is a Pettyjohn and Lorraine in the draft. I've complained a lot before - but I think that the success mode college players should be in the draft - like Spider, Alvin, Patrick, Jet, Zero, etc. Aren't they supposed to be MLB-ready college players? |

They seem so good in success mode, but when looking at their stats, none are any better than B's - most are E's and D's. I think they just look a lot better because everyone else sucks. It's a relief to play Season Mode when guys actually have *visible* contact sweet spots. But still the guys would be better than everyone else I draft - granted, the 32nd pick shouldn't net anything spectacular. A little tangent - previous 32nd picks in MLB include: Nick Noonan, Pedro Beato, Chaz Roe - they don't seem that good. 42nd picks are better - Clay Bucholz, 41st Joba Chamberlain. |
