I figured we could post in this thread any interesting things you find in Success Mode and then we can make a compendium of events.

I gave a Yes card when Becky asked me to invite Alvin to dinner, and I managed to get a Clutch ability

Once when Sarah gave me her phone number, I also got the Good Infield Hitter quality. Several other times I got her phone number... no additional quality was given.

When Becky dumps you, you might get "fat pitch" which is bad.

From home maintenance jobs, I was called in a few times. The first time I mowed the lawn and my character decided to slide on the grass and learned Head First Slide. Then I was called again to wash the boss's car. My guy missed a spot and covered it up. I got some good ability that I forget from that.

I got the military guy's batting stance (where he points his bat like a gun at the pitcher) by "challenge"-ing Peter when he randomly offers to help you with your swing, and i regret it every day :( It ruined my Asdrubal Cabrera :'(

Be warned, I've challenged him on this a different time and it did nothing but hurt my motivation.. I don't know what affects the results. Maybe you have to have a "unique" stance in the first place (IE: select the stance of a real player rather than "Open3").

My best player, nick-ed Tyhi, has Patrick's batting stance...awesome sauce...from challenging Pete. 9/10 you get negative results though. I have a quick question, anybody ever get through the 'Pete Fund' storyline? I lost like $500 in one Succes Mode play :?

For the Pete Fund - I've done it once and made a 50% profit. I wanted to do it again, but didn't have a YES card.

Hey everybody, I was thinking about tackling some of the success mode guide. What I'm doing right now is sort of compiling the timeline in detail. For instance, on dates when random events occur I'm keeping track of which events, how often, and their outcomes. I was up to 26 events on the 4th wk of Dec before I got my Clutch increased by going to a dance with Marvin. I saved at that point but I will take the results from several created players and put them together, making sure some things are constant between all players (luck, motivation?). I was thinking of figuring out the percentages of certain events popping up and all that jazz. This is going to take a long time and I wanted to make sure it wasn't a waste of time before I invest too much into it. Any thoughts or suggestions? Would this even be helpful? Any wanting to help are welcomed.

I believe the wiki's priority should be:
1. define all events and outcomes
2. determine effects of luck, etc
3. percentages of occurrence.

Simply because we need the information up before we discuss statistics, and give others a chance to verify our data.

I've initially started with a base guide for "random events" that occur. Category here
Which leads to the one I've created: Marvin's Music

Lets get the events up on the wiki first, with basic info like
*summary
*fate card or choice outcomes (if any)
*experience (str,tec,quick) earned
*vitality lost (can't track #s yet)

Percentages of occurrence will take at least 1000s of runs through success mode, and will need multiple ppl involved (maybe your random seed generator is getting you that gambler ring waaay more times than I ever will XD). Space willing, we can run ye up a table on the wiki, giving us the ability to store and recover lost information along the way.

Keep a table for the event occurrences with
*date occurred
*Luck, motivation level
*Items in hand (esp. goddess necklace and similar)

Other than that, sure, go right ahead (I certainly don't have that kind of time to run out tables, but I can help people who do get the information out).
