Maybe not "shocking" but during my latest run, I had a pitcher named Thrower and a bench player named Person as teammates.

Thrower isn't common - but it's one of the computer used names. Person is a little more common, I think out of the 30 arranged expansion teams there were 3 'person' s. I've only seen 2 throwers ever that I can remember- both were draft picks. (one I picked - the other sucked).

I have tried to reload for the room cleaning surprise bag or the lucky lottery pick numerous times to get the gambling ring with no success. Most of you know how hard this is. Well, today on Feb 1 yr 2 right after I had gotten the gambling ring via Annie, I got both events to trigger on the same day and with success! This will probably never happen again!

First Event:
I was building an homage to Griffey Jr. and made it to the College Kings championship in the 3rd year. I'm pretty sure he went 3-for-3 with a pair of long home runs.

And they intentionally walked him in the late innings.

Second Event:
I was attempting to date Sarah and I was clicking through all the text about as fast as I could and I thought I saw something interesting, s I went back to take a look at it. Sarah was talking to the photo contest guy about her camera, and they started using camera-speak in green words. When I pressed the button to go back and look at what was said, all the green words now had short explanations!

I've been looking out for more green words like that now, which have so far included most of the universities, the Road to the Rainbow, and Alvin's Mirage Knuckler.

Yeah, they have it for the schools and stuff. It's actually an interesting and informative read.

I've been intentionally walked once as well. Pissed me off. Team was down by a small margin, two runners in scoring position, I get walked, and freaking Brad GIDP.

The IBB made me absolutely fall to pieces laughing. I had never seen a video game intentionally walk a batter before, so it was the laugh of both "OMG" and "Wow, I am totally owning this thing."

Last time I got an IBB I started to swing to see if a 3-2 count would prompt the game to try for the out, but it kept up the IBB and I took the walk.

Playing in the All-Star game, it was 2-2 in the eighth and I gave up what I thought to be a for sure home run, only to fall out of my seat after watching Milton climb the wall and jump and catch it. I scored two in the ninth and won.

Wow, I didn't know he had Spider Catch.

I've tried the swinging at IBB and it worked once. It was a mistake pitch right down the middle and hit the walkoff in the year 3 Champion Rings game.

I know this is a spoiler thread, but this is so funny that I don't want to ruin it for you. When Milton talks to you about dating, wait untill the second time and save your game. The next time you'll be using a fate card. Make sure you have a Marvin card for the best moment in the game. Then, you can reload and make a better choice.
Trust me, you'll be rolling on the floor laughing.

I rarely ever get that event but I'll give that a shot next time.

Does the Milton RE lead to anything worthwhile? I've always wondered about that RE because it seems so out of place.

Yeah, the Milton arc will lead to some kind of ability if I am not mistaken.

Yeah, at least as a pitcher you can get Groundball P off of it, in addition your teammates abilities improve and you get a * on Shadow Pitching that gives you a bump to the points earned.

I have to agree that playing a Marvin card there is about the funniest thing in the game. You get Sandbag off of doing that, but how the event itself plays out is hilarious.
