Post subject:  What do you receive from the girls?
The three girls in the game (Becky, Sarah, and Annie) can take up quite a bit of your time while dating them. The best thing I managed to get from any of them was with Annie I once got a new ability. (dated her 2 Valentine's days and 2 Christmases and on the final Valentine's Day I received a surprise bag which had a random ability) I saved and reloaded a bunch to see what kind of options there were for the ability.... the ones that came up were

Good Delivery
Groundball Pitcher
Lucky

Some others too I think but I can't remember. A few others that I could just get normally. I took good delivery but I've no idea what it does exactly. What are all the different abilities you can get from the 3 girls, how do you get them, and what do they all do? How does 'lucky' affect your character?!

*note* I'm not interested in the gambling ring/etc that you can get on Xmas/etc. Only permanant abilities.

You get what you need? What does she give you? I know you can get a gambling ring off one of them, but I don't really care too much about that as I only gamble maybe 8 times depending on the character and the tickets are cheap so buying them isn't a big deal.

If tickets are so easy to buy for you, then you're either a) working too much and not practicing enough or b) you're not worrying about equipment or gifts.
Remember, the equipment can raise some stats (not power) a whole letter, and give special abilities (play two games). And only gambling 8 times?

Maybe you're not trying to get the best character possible ?!?!

Becky's can get you necklaces and a tourmaline ring. The ring comes on Valentine's Day - although it is useless if you save/load past injury and have the recovery necklace. On the 2 Christmas's her dad asks you to choose 1) what you're most afraid of (Injury, and two other things) and 2) what you're most worried about (studying, evaluation, health). The answer to these questions will get you the corresponding necklace - such as "injury" = anti-injury necklace and "evaluation" = prince's necklace. None of Becky's presents are terribly useful for a save/loader. Getting all the way with her, though, will net you the Intimidator ability, which is quite useful.

Annie on the other hand gives you Surprise Bags and Secret's of Hitting/Fielding/Pitching books, which are much more useful. The ability you get from going all the way with her is Genius, another ability that can't be gotten elsewhere. Also, dating her at the amusement park gives you the slight chance of receiving the coveted Gyroball skill.

I finally got the Gyroball from Annie! yay! Wow does it make a big difference. What an awesome skill. In addition to this however from her 'Secrets of Pitching' book which I got I received.... the Dr. K skill!!!

I previously thought the only way to get this skill was.... from Dr. K himself, yet I got it from Annie's Secrets of Pitching book. Thought I'd share this little tidbit with you guys since getting that skill is insanely hard.

All these abilities all have some way of making your player pitch better in certain situations.

What does it mean "pitch better"? Does the speed increase, or the break increase? Or does command increase?

It's much easier to understand with a hitter because the contact zone just increases. Nonetheless, I don't think many of the abilities make much of difference. Maybe I just don't play enough.
