A genius is, in layman's terms, a player that starts out with Good Sense and good starting stats. Go Red Sox! |

This is a rare player that you roll during character creation. I don't think anyone has exact odds of getting one, but suffice to say that I have only managed one in the hundreds of times I have tried to get one. The one I did get was quite by accident and was before I even knew or realized what it was, so I didn't get the chance to really max the guy out. But it turned out quite well for a non save/ reload & gamble player. |

When we talk about "rolling" a good player it's like of like rolling the dice and hoping for the best outcome. Like getting a good hand. Lot's of gambling references in this game and on this board. |

Rolling is more of a pen/paper RPG term (yay for dungeons and dragons - D&D). If you want more info, google it, you'll find it's quite a popular topic amongst old-school gamers and computer geeks. When creating a character, or determining success of an ability/ chance of event. A set of dice are rolled to see if you roll the required amount for a success. In a sense, the computer does the same thing, with a 'pseudo' random number generator to provide a near infinite-sided die to roll. Of course, most of the time it isn't necessary to have that much precision, but it's possible. |
