Post subject:  More Efficient Practices

i'd like to name all of the ways you can get a more efficient practice. i know that:

-completing Rex's story arc increases your fielding practices (don't know for pitcher)
-completing Brad's story arc increases your weightlifting practices
-completing the robin/robbie story arc (when robin is on the phone with robbie) will increase breaking ball practices
-if alvin becomes captain (i think its that or if he leaves, correct me if i'm wrong) breaking ball increases
-getting bookwork level 4 and studying will increase stamina practice

any others? those are the ones i've experienced

I think the Wiki says the completing a Milton arc will boost running practices.

Training-Specific Upgrades (Training will have a star next to it)
Brad - Weights
Robin - Weights for fielders, Breaking Ball or Stamina for pitchers
Toby - Swinging/Breaking Ball
Milton - Running
Rex - Fielding
Random - Finish Pizza delivery early, buy a book on training. Stamina or Fielding gets upgraded.

Strength Training Intensification
Reach Bookworm Lv4 and study, then find a training manual. Weights and Running/Stamina are intensified (menu backgrounds become yellow)

Unconfirmed stuff:
-I think Milton's arc could upgrade Stamina for Pitchers (as they're the equivalent of Running for fielders) but I'm not sure.

-Mark, Peter, Marvin could have arcs that lead to training upgrades (Must be a way to upgrade Long Throws).

-The type of training that gets upgraded from Robin's arc could depend on whether you have Rex or Brad on the team.

what practice do you use for upgrading each stat?

I use long throws are arm strength.
SRQ radar for fielding.
Swinging for contact/trajectory.
Fielding machine for power.
Swinging + excess quickness points for run speed.

Pitching machine for stamina.
Bunt Fielding for Control.
Shadow pitching for top speed/breaking ball.

Here's a trick for arm strength. Get a ton of quickness points from doing tons of fungo drills and then the hyper-recovery supplement. You should get 99 quickness points. Then do free weights so you can upgrade strength twice and arm strength once on every turn.

I never get free weights because I prefer the machines. They injury risk is smaller, and it's annoying to have to s/l for something as simple as training. Gambling and Surprise Bags I can put up with.

if marvin becomes captain do any practices improve?

Not that I've seen, no. Marvin doesn't appear to be a great captian, just a placeholder.

are there any random events linked to marvin being captain?

I believe that you can get at least two different types of training from each arc by simply reloading the last RE until you get the one you want.

I am currently reloading (imagine that) and got the Brad RE numerous times and was getting either weight training or stamina training for a pitcher.
