Who here has won the superstar game and what strategies did they use?

I personally know I can't win so I try to lose quickly by mercy rule.

I beat the allstars by accident.
I was playing them well at first but then they scored 5 in the second so i basically gave up just pitching whatever but for some reason they couldnt hit it. Pedro was pitching and he had a no hitter going through the 4th. In the 5th I scored twice on him but i was suprrised i hit off him so easily then i scored 2 more in the 6th and lastly 2 more in the 8th to win.

I basically gave up but some how I won.

They started hitting way worse when I pitched 55-67mph down the middle.

General
-Save before the game and reload if you lose.
-Rookie Charm and Psychic Goggles

Offense
-Fill the bases by drawing HBP (surprisingly easy to do) and knock in runs with a clutch hit.
-Only hit when you have to. Aggressive hitting with a runner on 1st isn't worth the risk of GDP.
-Another advantage to filling bases with HBP: minimizes risk of stupid baserunning by the AI.
-Take pitches. The more you take the more likely you'll find one that you can lean into for a HBP. Also increases chances of runners advancing on a passed ball.

Defense
-With a runner on 1B, throw to 1B enough times and you'll eventually be able to pick off the runner.
-Use pitchers with a good downward pitch (curve or change). Using goggles, it's easier to get swing-and-miss using pitchers with a big differential between their breaking pitches and 4SFB.
-Pitchers with cutters, slurves, SIFB on the other hand can give up hits because those pitches lack differential with the 4SFB; you can out-guess the hitter and they could still make good contact with those pitches.

One strategy that I use is risky, but somewhat effective. It too involves my beloved Goggles. It's not really a strategy, but when thinking breaking ball, throw a fastball down the middle and they'll usually swing right under it.
