how do i start my player out with the best sense (or best attributes) before I even play? or even good sense, whatever- I just keep starting out with laziness and toothaches etc. dont tell me i have to quit and type my name every time??? also is shortcut mode getting the whole game in (random events, etc.) because im tired of listening to the same stuff before I can even quit. thanks

Good sense by itself often comes with the toothache, ect. Unless you get a genius, which are rare. I don't have stats, but you could quit and reload for hours before getting one. I say take the toothache/ insomnia/ timid or whatever comes with the good sense and work past it. It's worth it.

Shortcut mode has random events and the whole bit, but a fraction of the dialog. It is a blessing. Use it and don't worry.

I usually just get laziness with gd sense. Laziness is essentially useless. By following the starting strategy, I can get level one bookworm before I practice, which cancels out laziness.

Laziness is definitely an easy one to get rid of quick and probably one that has higher odds of showing up, but for the record it is possible to get good sense with normal stats and no negative abilities. But if you get laziness with your gd sense run with it; its not worth reloading to get a player without any negative abilities.

This may be a dumb question but what exactly does good sense get you or do for you? I know it says that you retain more during practice... Does that mean you get more points during training? Does it cost less to upgrade stats?

10% less to be exact, which adds up later in the game when the point costs get higher.

I think it's a 10% increase in points required.

Yeah, it's just the opposite of good sense.

Yeah, if you answer with a NO card, there is a chance you can get it.

Also, reaching level 4 of Ladies' Man will always get you Good Sense - to make up for the lost practice time spent on dates.

i was thinking that technically if you use the gambling/save/reload trick the ngood sense doesnt matter really. the only thing it would do is raise the percentage of gambling right because you dont need as much. bt if you're gambling anways it doesnt matter right?

It matters for abilities like power, control, and stamina, things that aren't gamble stats.

Yeah, I agree. It definitely makes a difference, but gambling significantly reduces that difference. Still good to have though if you want to squeeze every drop you can out of your exp pts.

....LONG LIVE POOR SENSE/GOOD STATS!!!!!!
