Is it possible to go directly to the majors? I always get the "you still have to sign this minor league contract" speech from the scout? What's the best ending possible?

Yeah, kind of disappointing. I didn't get it the first time I played it. I think "FOUR HOURS FOR THIS S#!T!!!!" was the phrase that was spoken at the time.

Nope, in 07 you always go to the minors. It makes sense, from college you never go straight the big leagues, you always play at least a few months in the minors.

i concur. there have only been about 10 people to go from college to the pros, but they have. MrWelz's player Sifu would have been good enough to go from college to the pros, as would the Reggie Jackson player (All A's).

hes saying that almost always, players play in the minors for a bit before the MLB. Very rarely do you see a fresh HS/college kid straight out of the draft play in the MLB right afterwards

There have been players to go straight to MLB in 07 and real life? just checking

Ive made some good players who always went to minors, and teams would definitely give players time to get the feel for it

Yes, I forget I read that stat a while ago, your right. I didn't realize there were that many, I thought there were ten. Still, 99.9% of the time you play in triple a before you play in the majors. In Season Mode you may (and most of the time rightly so) put your players in the Majors to start the game, but that is usually not the case in real life.

Wow, that was fast! Especially for an 07 thread! I read that in a book called Watching Baseball Smarter 2 years ago when I first started getting into Baseball. It was actually a really good book and I recomend it to those new to Baseball and even for stat heads, there is a lot of interesting stuff and the writer has a lot of voice. Its definetly a page-turner and you can skip the boring parts. This is the same guy who wrote the bestseller how to catch baseballs or something along those lines. He has caught over 10,000 and he gets about 3 a game (almost all of them before hand, very few were home-runs, that just takes luck). I've never read that one but I'm interested.

Besides if you made it to the majors right away what would the 08 success mode be?
Meaning I guess for 09 you'll be in the majors or it won't be a sequel.
