After a few weeks of trial and error, I finally got my ordinary player to get into the all-star game (my first time too), now, god knows how many times I tried, I never seem to beat them, and honestly I don't know if I can. Currently my player is short stop with these stats and abilities (remember, he started as a normal player, nothing special or bad... he did had Wordly do...):

Trajectory: 3
Contact: 12 (B)
Power: 140 (B)
Run Speed: 12 (B)
Arm Strength: 10 (C)
Fielding: 10 (C)
Error Res: 10 (C)

Aggressive Run
Aggressive Steal
Barehand Catch
Clutch Hit 5
Pivot Man
Star

and a few other Field/batting abilities (forgot, don't have Wii on, might post em tomorrow) that are all blue

With this character and if I practice enough (as I only be playing the game for 4 months now), should I be able to beat the all-stars or just forget about it and just do my best and finish success mode and get this Short Stop into the game? (First character btw)

Go for it, more points, note they play powerful level. Pitchers:Pedro, Peavy and someone I forgot. Lineup:Ichiro, Jeter, Vlad, A-Rod, Manny, Cano, im not sure about the rest, I think there is also Ortiz.

Right! Guess I better keep practicing then huh? I'll look for pointers on this site.

Also my SS can get a homer about 1/3 of the time, Brad get's a homer 1/4 of the time in my games, the opponents then to do alot of those, should I just walk there power hitters and then strike out there weaker batters?

Quick question, is there a way to trick a opponent to take off Big Hit?

Trust me, go for contact in the All-Star game, not power. By the way, they all have good contact, there are no weaklings on the All-Star, so all of them are good in a way

So go for contact right? K thanks, that small pointer might make all the difference, what about pitching?

EDIT: Also what are good stats for a short stop? Should he be a all-rounder or power house or etc...? Or just my taste? (In my case, I prefer a all-rounder)

Oh they predict what the opponent is thinking, like pitcher, what pitch he is gonna throw and fielding, if he thinks is a fastball or breaking ball.

When you give up a hit to ichiro just keep trying to pick him off and eventually you'll get him. This works for some of the other fast players too.

Doesn't that tires out your pitcher? But yeah I started to notice that, so fast players (B (or C?) and up?) just keep picking at them until there out right? and just walk power hitters until you reach fast players? If this works then I might actually win (hopefully, the closest game was me taking a 4 run lead until the 8 inning, they caught up and beated us by 2 runs eventually...)

Don't walk the power hitters if you can avoid it. Unless you are stuck with one of the random named players.

If you're using Alvin,Robin or your player to pitch then don't walk the power hitters. If you're using a bench player(guys with names like colamarino and person) then you might want to walk them if a fast player is coming up soon.

Alvin left my team, Robin the only good one left, so yeah off to walk off hitters!

EDIT: Won! 9-6 game, in the third inning, I got 6 runs (2 runs at one point and then my character did a loaded base home run, 4 more points!)

So now I got a all-around player with B everywhere and a A Run Speed, just what I want, my desire short stop, now to win season mode and unlock arrange team and then make a team of my own!

Arrange Team wtf? It took me 2 weeks and like 6-8 hrs a day to do that.
