This is a first for me, but somehow over the course of a SM run I managed to get into continuing story line with Robert after he leaves the team. Now I am familiar with the RE at the grocery store where he offers you something if you win the title in year 2. Between that episode and the tournament I get another RE with him at the grocery store where he talks to you about how to be a captain. I ended up with the Good Morale ability. Later after the the tutoring job ends, I somehow got another random event where I get a job at the grocery store. I didn't even know you could do that. Can anyone else fill in the blanks on this storyline? |

I got that RE too but I used a Marvin card and got both of us a job there. I didn't pursue it though since I already had a pocket full of cash. |

A nice surprise came from this job. It makes your dad appear while you are at work, and end up practicing baseball with the produce. Ended up getting a few good skills (Bases Loaded) and got both Str & Tech points, plus the paycheck. Pay isn't any worse then doing the maintenance jobs. |

Did you get a paycut from playing with the produce?? XD The only time I end up venturing down this path is when I'm forced to make the decision to fold up the team if we lose the next game. |

No paycut for the goof off. Makes it a decent deal. |

wow, this success mode thing is really a lot more complicated than I thought. Just when I was thinking everyone had figured it out with perfect maxed-out characters, ladies' men and everything... |

Just when I was thinking everyone had figured it out with perfect maxed-out characters, ladies' men and everything... Agreed. I can't name another sports game with this kind of replay value. I love this freaking game! ![]() |

It's a lot deeper than most might think. It's very easy to accidentally make an awesome character when you aren't even trying (see my Bowen character -- he was supposed to be my AAA 3B backup. He's better than my starting 3B!) ![]() |

Oh yeah, my bad. I was thinking RF and typed LF. No harm, no foul. |
