I finished my first player in Success Mode (the first one to make the minors, that is) not long ago and didn't do to well. I began looking around on here for tips and learning what I could as I began work on a second player (a closer).

It turns out now that I picked up a Genius, amazingly enough, and to top it off, I managed to obtain the Gambler's Ring within ten reloads. I know I haven't handled my player that well, but I just won the Championship in year 2 and I have my top speed over 90mph, a maxed Slow Curve, a lv4 Knuckle, a lv4 Sinker, and a lv2 Changeup. My control isn't the best (a C I believe), but my stamina is sufficient for a closer I think (almost 100).

I don't have the time to really get sucked into this mode (I may not do another player after this one), so I was really pleased to find out that I was so fortunate on this one.

Any tips for getting the most out of this attempt?

I thought you said you finished him.

If your stamina is almost 100, then your guy is already good enough to be at least a Swing Man... B stam is starter level...

I finished my first player - this is my second that will make it through successfully.

And I probably should have said "more than sufficient," because closer's obviously don't need too much stamina. For a while I just put strength points in stamina that didn't seem necessary when gambling for top speed. Now I'm wondering if they could be of use on the Fielder side of things, but it may be too late to do much there, especially with the things remaining (more top speed and abilities).
