If you play as a CF or 2B, you are asked to switch positions. Do the Fate Cards have the same result? i.e. No results in First Base switch, Yes allows a choice, Challenge results in hitting test? What about LF with Marvin? Does that require a change, too? What positions are available if a YES card is used? |

This one can also apply for just about any position. If you are confronted by Coach Stone: Yes: You'll do the change (and gain the 2nd position) No: You animately refuse (and lose coach eval and poss. motivation) Challenge: Pepper Drill to keep the position (and boost in eval) Marvin: ... not sure If you are confronted by Robert (the Captain): Yes: ... No: ... Challenge: Battle it out Marvin: ... For the coach, I've gotten the "change to first base" option as a Catcher and as a Middle IF (SS, 2B) I only was confronted by Robert once while at CF (beating Marvin out in hitting test), but I've been doing it multiple times, and not all the time am I asked to switch, Marvin may move to SS or first on his own. |

I didn't know that there were two different scenarios. I think that with Rob - YES: Pick from a list of positions (I think some aren't available) NO: Automatic fielding test - no Human control - always lose - forced switch to first base "First base is for power hitters blah blah blah ..." Where did Marvin switch to when you beat him out? I know that he can play 2nd, but Peter is there. The most reasonable other position is LF, but that's taken, too. What happens if you create a 3B? What happens when Rex/Brad comes? Can a pitcher get Rex's glove? |

My last success mode character was a center fielder and I was never asked or told to change positions (thus Marvin was never really a part of the team). I guess it depends how strong your character is before a certain point in the timeline, if he's still weak he'll be asked, if he's strong they won't even bother. |

how did you get your guy that strong? Did you do the study, study, study, job, job, then practice (or something like that) strategy, or did you just practice? |

Yeah I followed my standard prototype for success mode characters. Study till your become level 1 and the job command becomes available, then make some money and once the coach comes, train a lot. |

The 3rd baseman I just made was never asked to change positions when Rex came... don't know if thats always the case though. |

Do you need to have questions every week and the Marvin history studying to get to level 1 before the job command? I usually can't get it because of the need to rest when the vitality hits yellow? Which leads me to this Q - what do you guys do when the vitality reaches yellow for the first time, and then red after working? What about before the coach comes during which the VIT will likely be gone, but without any h-recovery possibility? This has been troubling me for a while. |

I think the CF/2B position switch is always triggered if you make the team in your first year. It won't happen if you don't. The coach and Robbie's events seem random. |

I can do it without getting questions (or Marvin) at all... however, answering a question gets you over the lvl 1 marker a lot farther, making you get to lvl 2 or 3 perhaps a turn or 2 faster using the mind-training neck. I'm usually able to knock down nap and job a few times and another nap (only hitting the H-Rec once (the first time)) on the day the coach arrives. So I'm usually set to practice when I'm first able with the coach watching. |

What I do is study four times to get past level 1 book worm. Practice once, then new year's event gives you vitality. You can sleep after this to get 34 strength points. Then just keep on practicing and use hyper recovery. Don't bother with the job until you get the tutor after first year. Do Annie's homework twice to get level 2 and from there you can get highest score on the exam fo the tutoring job. Marvin switches to SS as does Milton if you beat them in the hitting test. Two of the positions you can switch to if you select yes are third base and catcher. I believe right field, shortstop, and first base are also available. |

This might be slightly off the topic but has anyone gotten 2nd Position 4, maybe from one of the position switch events? It's one of the few blue abilities I haven't figured out how to get. |

Does that make it so the 2nd position is an A? I'd assume this would happen if you already acquired the ability, then was asked to switch. |

Yeah, I haven't figured that one out either. I don't see how the "switching positions" events would add to that because even if you had a second position already the event would just switch it. I do have one theory though. If you're captain you have control over the lineup. Maybe if you play enough games at your 2nd pos it would increase. It would have to be more than one game though; I already tried it with my last guy. I wasn't captain all through success mode, but you can switch the lineup if you play against the all-stars. I tried it, but after the game nothing happened. |
