I'm currently creating a CF for my expansion team, and I was thinking of doing Mickey. Any suggestions on special abilities or ideas that you can give me would be great. I do know he was one of the fastest players to ever play so speed power and switch hitting will all be priorities. |

Just looking at his wiki article and career stats, he was apparently plagued by injuries, has power to hit 40, 50 home runs, had 100 walks 10 times, and his range factor was above league average. So durability ideally should be 2, A power, power hitter ability, patient hitter, and good fielding stats. He was born in Spavinaw, Oklahoma, uniform number 7, and was originally a shortstop when signed by the yankees. |

Didn't realize he had so many injuries... Probably had to do with a little of the sauce if you know what I mean. Imagine what he could have done clean. The White Sox have an old announcer Ken Harrelson that always swears he was one of the fastest from home plate to first he ever saw, and he was a first baseman. I have heard from other sources this was true also. But he was the best power switch hitter ever, that I'm sure of. And he played on so many great Yankee teams. He was one of the best CF ever imo. Great power too actually, I should have just looked at wiki. An estimated 643 foot homer at old Tiger stadium, lol! (Left Handed) And a 565 foot homer right handed at Yankee Stadium. Unreal. |

It's a shame the way the guy was treated, he was better then old Joe in every category when it was said and done. He was the true Mr. October and still owns HR's RBI's and runs scored in the world series. |

I would have hoped to leave the special sauce out of the picture as much as possible. Isn't there a red ability that mentions injury prone? I forget... |

Just let him get hurt once or twice... you always seem to get "Knee Bomb" or some other injury related tag when you're put in the hospital. |

lol, try to do that at the beginning of the season, where it's not so damaging to your experience gains (you don't want to be missing games). |

I don't think knee bomb carries over to season mode. It just means that the next time you hurt your knee you have to spend 10 weeks in the hospital. |

hmm...if thats the case then I'm pretty sure one of Dr. Goodjob's choices lowers your durability to a 2... a failed challenge card on the "i want to be stronger" choice maybe; it happened to me earlier this week but I'm not 100% certain that was the scenario |

Well I finished him, not sure if he really can live up to the real player. I didn't give him any injuries but I also withheld durability. I try not to max everything out on all the players I make and tailor the custom abilities to flesh them out. |
