I'm sorry, I guess I didn't word that very well. What I meant was I've been successful with a challenge card. It gives you +30 in pwr, +1 in all other categories, and boosts all your pts, vitality, etc.; but I had to use a yes card once and the results weren't even worth it. I guess that's why the challenge card is so much harder to use successfully.

If you aren't successful with the Challenge, are there any negative effects?

If you aren't successful, you lose 30 power, 1 in every category, and you lose the points you have.

save/reload right after beating the champion rings in your third year. That way it maximizes the power gain.

Not always, but you can save and reload to get him as many times as it takes.

When you go to dr. goodjob right before the all star game, your power is 180+. If you get him sometime in third year you will have lower power. He increases your power the same regardless of how much you had to start. It is much more difficult to increase power as it gets higher. This is the same with all of your other stats.

I've never had that has-been do anything for me besides what he initially does (the full vitality boost)

If I do meet him during success mode but never again, should I just reload over and over till I get his RE before the All Star Game?

Yes, the rewards are great enough to justify spending your time save/loading. It didn't take me that long anyway.

If you're getting the full vitality boost, doesn't that mean you used a challenge card for the first meeting?

If I recall correctly, using the Yes card only gives you the address, not the vitality. Only the Yes card for the first meeting will allow for a second.

Cool; thats what I thought you meant, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something

One question; does anyone know the stat boosts for a pitcher using a challenge card?
