What's the best stats you can get to start you guy off with (b) vs (p)? and is it worth restarting then inputing the players name again & again

worth reloading? probably not... law of statistics will most likely net you a worse player after an above-average one.

You can good sense in two ways that I know of.

The first:
A Random Event in which Marvin asks you if you've been to New York.
Choosing a NO fate card gives you a small chance of it.

The second:
Reaching Level 4 Ladies' Man Prince of Baseball, will always give you good sense.
