lol, let's not all get defensive here.

But i gotta admit, If I'm pursuing another girl or another event line, why should becky even show up to pester me, depriving me of an event that would be worth more.

it doesn't really take that long, i'd say 5 minutes max. Think of it this way, it's a one in twenty chance. Each chance can't than half a minute - and usually it doesn't take that long.

But you do have a point in that a few turns won't make a huge difference. But 105 looks way better on the stat sheet than 98.

(a little late of a reply) This is simple probability. If you gamble on something 19 times (on a 5% chance) it doesnt automatically mean you're going to get it next gamble. The number 1 rule of probability is that the likelihood of something happening is not affected by a previous attempt. You could literally sit and gamble on a 99% chance and not get it in 500 tries. This is very unlikely put still possible. Also somehow the game makes it harder to gamble on 25% chances when going for an ability or skill then when trying to not get injured.

But it still doesn't take that long. It usually takes me 5-10 min max to get an ability in the 3-7% success range - and only that long because I'm watching TV shows while I'm gambling. This way, with the 2 points in each category I get from the events at the beginning, I can gamble for Cannon Arm, Grt Infield Hitter, Grt Catcher, Battler, and other high cost abilities, while using a minimal amount of points.

Yup that's called the Gambler's Fallacy, and I find myself swearing at the screen even though I know 5% chance means 5% every time, not 10% the second time or 15% the next.
