While playing today, I encountered this weird random event where my player received an invitation to a baseball game in the third week of third year March. The letter was anonymous and didn't contain tickets. It was a fate card decision and I chose Challenge. My guy thought to himself that there was no ticket. But I had one from a Surprise bag.

My guy went and met A-Rod. They trained together and my guy's stats all raised 2 letter grades, my trajectory up 1, and I got 5, seemingly random abilities, trash talk, intimidator, spider catch, breakup DP, and BL hitter. Has anyone else gotten this event?

I'm thinking it was triggered because I had the game ticket.

That's exactly what I expected after reading about half. 5 abilities? Wouldn't happen from random event.Even if you didn't expect it from reading. You should catch on after scrolling about halfway

But for all those save/loaders, none of them would've accepted a game ticket from a surprise bag, would they? No, they would've s/l'ed for g-ring or SoD/P/H.

You had me through the first paragraph -lol- Reason being is that is sounds a lot like the RE where Marvin and you get the anonymous letter that ends up being the equivalent of a "Secrets" book. But on those I've either gotten a SoD/SoH equivalent (gaining an ability) or gotten a 1 point boost to FLD or RUN SPD. So yeah, a more conservative 2nd paragraph and it would have been completely believable

You had me too since it was similar to the letters from major leaguers and the baseball tickets. And training wit a-rod is something I could see happening in this game.

aww, I wished this could really happen, can turn a scrub into a backup
