Post subject:  POTD #248: Do You Think Mike Fiers Cheated?
We haven't had one of these in a while. Anyway, here's the story. Astros SP Mike Fiers threw a no-hitter on Friday over the LA Dodgers. It was an amazing performance, and it's a great story. However, photos have been released that appear to show some sort of substance on his glove during the game. Do you think he was using this substance to gain an advantage? The Dodgers aren't complaining and MLB isn't looking into it, but what are your opinions on the matter?

EDIT: Here is an image of the incident, the top showing the substance on Fiers' glove, and the bottom showing him touching the part of the glove with the substance during the game.

a lot of pitchers in the MLB use pine tar. coaches don't care if you use it discreetly. Unless if you're pineda and have it out in the open then that's where a problem can arise

Yeah Will Smith got suspended 3 games I think for it earlier this year for the Brewers, and he's said how stupid it was because everyone does it... But rules are ruled I guess. I don't think it's cheating tho, I voted No.

Because Brewers totally don't need to cheat to achieve noteworthy accomplishments, right Braun? :razz:

No, I guess I just don't like him somehow, maybe because he was MVP in 2011, the year Kemp should have had it?
