When playing Success Mode, I almost always have a notebook prepared to keep stats for my player. A typical page usually has the player's name and some other basic info (favorite team, bats/throws, stance, maybe the goal for the player) followed by their starting stats. I then try to keep track of Coach and Scout Eval points as I go (admittedly, I miss some now and then and usually just give up at that point), and then the games. For each game, I record the opponent, my player's position in the field and in the batting order, their abilities at the time of the game, and (in as much detail as possible) their stats for the game. For pitchers, that simply means innings pitched, earned runs, strikeouts, and win-loss record. For batters, that means not only hits, at-bats, home runs, and RBIs, but also things like doubles, triples, runs scored, walks, strikeouts, and even stolen bases if possible. At the end of AA and the end of AAA, I tally up all the stats from that level. Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone else did this or something similar to this; I don't think it really reflects how good the player will be in a Season Mode or MLB Life or anything like that, but (especially with fictional guys) it's nice to have stats handy to include in updates (e.g. "Right-hander Joe Smith, 23, dazzled in five starts at the AAA level, with 37 strikeouts and 2 earned runs in 44 innings"). If yes, I would love to hear what you do to keep track of stats and how detailed those stats are! |

I usually just remember the amount of HR's my players hit, kinda stopped keeping track of them over the last few months. As for ERA, I always try to save/load until I throw X shutout innings, so by the time I finish a pitcher, he'll have a 0.00 ERA or something like 0.10 (if I gave up a run and didn't reload). I don't write down these things though. |

I've never written anything…occasionally I'll jot down memorable HRs or game performances when i post the guy, but usually nada. Just crank em out and roll on to the next! |

No, but that's a really cool idea. |
