Post subject:  Poll of the Day #242 | Angels in the Outfield
Title is a movie reference because I'm #hip and #cool 8) 8) 8)

So, the Angels recently traded for Shane Victorino, David Murphy, and David DeJesus. I've put together a little chart illustrating the stats of the top nine outfielders in their organization:

(Note: Cowgill and Joyce are currently on the DL)

Here's my proposed solution:

Against LHP, the outfield goes Robertson-Trout-Victorino, with C.J. Cron at DH.
Against RHP, the outfield goes DeJesus-Trout-Calhoun, with Murphy at DH.

DFA Joyce the second he comes off the DL, he's worth nothing to them at this point.
Send Navarro down, he won't play at all in the majors.
When Cowgill comes back, option Robertson (assuming full health for the others) and start him in left.

I don't really know why but I felt like making a poll about this because the Angels have way too many outfielders and I want to find a good solution to this problem even though I don't like them.

Daniel Robertson for president.

I think you probably should've waited a few days. They're still gonna trade for CarGo and CarGo and Upton and Upton. And Harper. And Trout.

They already have Trout, and yet this is probably still true.

inb4 Angels end up with 40-man roster of only outfielders

Trade Trout to the Phillies for Hammels straight up. Trout wants to come home. Problem solved.

Problem with this is that the Phillies don't have a player named Hammels. So, yeah, it wouldn't be too fair.

Hammels is a reference to a famous Philly twitter guy whose whole schtick is hating on Cole Hamels.

Trout is not going anywhere, first off, and the trade is AWFUL. Hamels for Trout is a straight up dumb move by a GM. I don't like how the Angels are constructed as a team, mainly Jerry's fault, they love like a bunch of tangled puzzle pieces.
