I don't really think it's a good idea to force yourself to write a novel. Wait for an idea, one will certainly come up. Once you get that idea, build off of it. Regardless of what you end up doing, good luck, and I'd be glad to help you if you have any writing-related questions! |

I like to revise and edit. I agree with AgentP, but if you're truly set on writing something, I would recommend against having a sport be your main plot. You can have a character who plays sports, and include a few games throughout the story, but writing a novel entirely about sports is extremely challenging to do well. |

Almost all of my characters play sports no matter what I'm writing but just writing about how a game went would seem not as interesting... Unless, of course, you write like Mike Lupica or Matt Christopher or Tim Green |
