Poll of the Day #158 | Get a job!

Post subject:  Poll of the Day #158 | Get a job!
With the discussion of jobs recently in the general chat, I've realized that our little forum is growing up. It is both sad and happy. But anyway, to my poll question: do you have a job? Or do you still get to stay at home all day enjoying the freedom? If you do have a job, what do you do? How much do you make per hour? How many hours do you work a week? How long are your work days? Do you have to work weekends? Did you chose to get the job, or were your parents involved in the decision? And add in any other bits of interesting info as needed. :) I'm curious to see the results of this! :)

But alas, I work in the morning so I should go to bed. I'll post mine in the morning. ;)

I do not yet, but I imagine I will in the next few years. Trying to enjoy these last few non-work summers.

Since when has there been discussion? The only time it's ever brought up is by you or Dish, and nobody else really replies.

I do have a job. 8.50 an hour 8:30-3:30. I do maintenance and stuff at my old school.

My uncle owns a greenhouse sort of place, well I don't know how to describe it, but it's one of those seasonal places where people buy their seeds and stuff. And he'll be employing me next spring-summer

I don't have a job, although I do volunteer sometimes. I could get a job, but I wasn't home a lot this summer (2 vacations, etc.) and so it would have had to be a 3-week job or something...

I dont have a "job" but I buy and sell things online. I normally do baseball cards,stocks and occasionaly video games. Most I ever made in one hour was $900.

I could sell some stuff for a fortune (baseball cards mainly), but I've never gotten around to finding them all and whatnot.

Gosh dang it... I wish my dad was like that. :lol:

I work for our HS English teacher, at his business. He sells perennial plants, mainly hostas. I pull weeds, and help him get orders together, as he does all his sales via mail. I work 9:00 to 4:00 every weekday, unless its too hot or too wet, for $8 and hour. So, I usually end up with about 30 hours per week, as there is usually a day off scattered into my week. I didn't want to get a job, but my dad basically told the teacher I would help him, so I got thrown into it... :| Oh well. Oh yeah, I also get free lunch from him everyday, and a free can of Coke. :)

If you dont have autos,most newer RC arent worth much.

I have basically the full Topps sets from the last 5 years, plus a lot of older cards.

I work for my mom's daycare from 9-1, 3-6 on Mondays on Fridays
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays I work 9-12, go to summer school to get college credit, then work 3-6
I also have crossfit classes from 4:30-5:30 everyday
I have no freedom

A lot of my friends have jobs now, but I don't. I don't really spend my money that much, so I don't really need one.
