So, whats the sport you find the most "intense"

Think about how much action there is, if it ever stops, if there are ever any gaps between excitement and boredom.

I'd go with hockey, not a fan of it but it seems pretty intense, with all the hitting and turnovers and whatall.

Ahh yes, how could I forget golf. A mix of motorsports (driving) and tennis (hitting the ball) quite the exciting sport in golf

As far as sports go, I have no doubt that the most intense one would be one I've never heard of nor know the rules to. Odds are there's something ridiculously brutal and unsafe that's considered to be a sport somewhere that makes hockey look like football (either one works).

As far as mainstream sports go, I'd probably say lacrosse or hockey, I don't know enough about lacrosse to really judge. I just don't want to say hockey outright because it's my favorite sport by far and it would seem biased. Honestly, hockey these days (as far as the NHL level goes) has virtually no intensity at all compared to old-time hockey (some of the things you would get kicked out for these days wouldn't even be penalized back then). Overall though, I'd still say even today's hockey is more intense than the other things on the list.

Poker is a pretty intense sport though, now that I think of it.

If I'm being serious, I have friends that play both Rugby and Lacrosse, and they say their both extremely physical and violent. Not the same thing as intense, but they're close enough

Hockey is intense. But I don't think it's as intense as rugby

To me when I think intense I thought about fast-paced action but also roughness. Rugby comes to mind there, with hockey a distant second.

I think hockey is the most intense. If they actually played non-stop, I would say football (not fĂștbol).

I'd definitely say golf, followed by equestrian, synchronized swimming, and NASCAR.

Also, I voted for rugby. GO ALL BLACKS!

Also, in total agreement with cooldude: poker is reeeeeeeeally intense, especially at, like, World Series of Poker level.

Nothing beats a good round of chess... The tense period waiting for one nerd to make his move and to press the timer.. Edge of the seat stuff

Of I understood the sport better, water polo might be exciting, but I think it's the most physically-demanding sport, right after boxing. My legs burn after 5 minutes of treading water and those guys do it a whole game!

Definitely hockey. It's so grueling they have to make line changes basically every two minutes.

I would go with hockey as well. But after reading what ERISA said, water polo, too. I never even thought about all the treading they would have to do, compounded with playing a sport. Cray

I chose Hockey, but I think I should've chose Rugby.
