Post subject:  Poll of the Day #133 | MLB 13 Season Predictions
Two polls in one day!? WHAT!?

The baseball season starts on Sunday, and the start of every baseball season brings along a bunch of fans who have no idea what they're talking about, but try and predict what will happen anyways! Basically, just predict who will win the divisions, the wild cards, and the World Series outcome. I did this with my friends last year, and it did not end well... I got 4 of 12 correct (Tigers winning the AL Central and losing the WS, Rangers winning a WC, and the Red winning the NL Central). Of my failed picks were the Red Sox winning the AL East... The Angels winning the AL West... The Rays winning a WC... The Braves winning the NL East... The Diamondbacks winning the NL West and winning the WS... The Marlins winning a WC... And the Brewers winning a WC...

But I'm determined to shed off my failed performance, and at least hit .500! So here we go! (Just copy and paste the format, with your own picks inserted)

AL East: Blue Jays
AL Central: Tigers
AL West: Angels
AL WC1: Rangers
AL WC2: Rays
NL East: Nationals
NL Central: Reds
NL West: Dodgers
NL WC1: Braves
NL WC2: Pirates
WS Outcome: Braves over Blue Jays

WS: Astros over Phillies

It pains me to give that World Series result, but from an objective point of view, my only option was to predict that Phils would fall to the mighty Astros. The old me would just pick the Phillies to win it all, but this is new, realistic me.

I think we should do a "backwards" bracket too. And pick all the teams that will get last in their divisions. There won't be a wild card, but the WS can be your prediction for the worst team from each league.

Haha, I like it. If only the Phillies could stand up to the juggernaut that is the 2013 Houston Astros.

The moment that really brought me down to earth was seeing a gif in PPJ's sig depicting an Astros play. That was the moment I knew the Phillies were destined to lose to the Astros. :( :( :(

And then I said, "Houston, we have a problem." :lol: :lol: :lol:

And to think I was expecting serious answers...

And Brewers, that's a decent idea. Except, half the divisions have one crappy team who you know is gonna finish last (Twins, Astros, Cubs), and the other half have two crappy teams fighting for not last (Yankees/Red Sox, Mets/Marlins, and Diamondbacks/Rockies)
