On the heels of yesterday's poll, we ask who the NL MVP should be. So leave a vote and drop a reply. Tell us what you think!

POSEY!!! I can't believe I never hear about him on SC.

I think McCutchen might get it, but I obviously voted Braun.

Sorry, I forgot about this today.

McCutchen totally deserves it. He has emerged as a superstar this year, and single-handedly got the Pirates to the top of the NL Central earlier this year. No contest.

If he had a full season, it might be Votto. Since he didn't, I'm going Braun. Though there may be those who think it's a controversial pick he's lead the Brewers back into the playoff picture and put up the numbers to back it up.

Posey is the next closest, and though I like him and really wanted to pick him since he's hitting great for a catcher and is likely one of the most irreplaceable players in the league, Braun has made (arguably) a bigger impact and has continued to just stuff the stat sheet.

Sorry for DP, though McCutchen has become an elite player, I wouldn't say it's no contest. It's pretty close imo and the bold is key.

I'd go with Braun.

Now they're fighting as hard as possible just to be the second WC. I went Posey. 2010 they win WS with him, 2011 they lose him and don't make playoffs, 2012 they have him and will (probably) win the division. This is all with pretty such the same pitching staff

Except for with a terdy Lincecum.

I still think that McCutchen deserves it. The Brewers, more than likely, won't make the playoffs (sorry Brewers), and Posey hasn't carried the Giants like McCutchen carried the Pirates. Plus, Yovani Gallardo has been a HUGE part of the Brewers' run, not having a loss in the past couple months.

True dat.

I really want Braun to win it, as he's having a great year. But, I think people are used to him doing that, but not used to McCutchen doing that. Therefore, I think they'll give it to McCutchen.

But, Braun and McCutchen have essentially done the same things. Brought their teams to the top of the division.

Again the key being the bold. If he had done more perhaps they would have one a few more and would still be in it. Then again if their starting pitching hadn't fallen off maybe they would be also, who knows.

As for Posey, he's been their best offensive player really, and the pitchers probably don't do as well without him behind the plate.

I would say Braun has had equal importance to the Brewers' run as Gallardo, if not more. Imagine if he were injured right now where they would be.

 So, Gallardo pitches every 5th game. And he's the reason they've made a huge run.

If the Brewers hadn't traded Greinke, they might've been able to be in the play-offs.

Dude, you forget the Matt Cain perfect game. His pitchers haven't been half bad. Plus, Melky led the team before his positive reading, which means he led the team for at least half the season.
