I'm in NC, technically east coast, and the culvers is ~4 mins from me

They just haven't spread north. Custard and steakburgers would scare away a lot of new englanders

Culvers is pretty amazing. The only thing DQ has going for it are the blizzards - love 'em! But since culvers lets you add toppings, I have to go with culvers.

Nice quiz choice!

And kudos to Agent P for his 1st response - I enjoyed it.

Now if any of you have a Rita's Italian ice, that place is THE BEST!!! They don't have the toppings of culvers or DQ, but their frozen custard is like or better than culvers and their Italian ices are great. A gelati combines the two into an other-worldly experience!

When all the froyo places started opening up all around us, the Rita's packed up. We've since gotten a jeramaia's, which has the ices like Rita's, but the ice cream is like DQ - not custard.

Man do I miss Rita's!
