Wow, and to think we could beat the Cardinals twice! That last game was a lot of fun, surprised we could score that much. Braun has been struggling, hitting .147 so far, and now has some hamstring tightness, so I'll probably sit him out for the next few games against the Pirates and play Gerardo Parra instead. Also, signed free agent relief pitcher Evan Reed(3.5*). Reed has been put into the middle relief role, but I might put him into set up if Neal Cotts starts to struggle. The deal is 1 year, $830,000. April 15: Cardinals get 4* reliever Jean Machi as well as minor league C Aramis Garcia from the Giants, who received 3B Mark Reynolds.
-Cardinals SS Jhonny Peralta fractured his wrist against us and is out for 6 weeks.
April 16: Brewers signed free agent relief pitcher Evan Reed to a 1 year, $830,000 contract. Brandon Kintzler was sent down to AAA Colorado Springs.

Shoutout to dish cuz I'm basing this off his update format from his Tigers log last year.

Also shoutout to AgentP for making me think about switching lineups around, leading to us going 2-2 in our last 4 games with 3 different lineups in those games.

God damn the Pirates. Due to an excellent bit of GM'ing, we claimed Josh Johnson(3.5*) off waivers and put him as our 3rd starter, sent down Jimmy Nelson, moved Lohse to the bullpen. Braun is all healed now, and we are taking on Cincinnati at home in a 4 game series next. We ranked 29th in the latest power rankings... at least it's not last.

Well, taking 3 of 4 from the Reds was awesome! We've got the Cardinals up next, and then the Reds again. This opening month is pretty repetitive with the scheduling, but oh well. Gomez bruised his finger on a hit by pitch in game 3, so I'm resting him for a few games. And then in game 4, his replacement, Gerardo Parra got hurt. His injury is TBD, hopefully it also isn't serious. Hector Gomez has been hitting well, and Aramis hasn't, so I may look into getting Hector a few starts at 3B.
