What's 40-20 potential?

Does he have the potential to be a .290 hitter or is that just wishful thinking?

And my scout (aka you, dummy) says "Baez has above-average contact potential. Gets into a groove occasionally, at which point he's as good with the bat as anyone out there." So maybe .290, but probably at least .275

Also, does anyone here have interest in an NCAA update? The season just ended, and I'm curious if anyone cares about what happened, such as standings, playoffs, or league leaders.

EDIT: Decided to bring up Heaney for a spot start and he got *(censored)* rocked. Despite being such a top prospect, he's been terrible in AAA (and the MLB) the last two years

Same here with Justin Nicolino (though he hasn't pitched in MLB due to sucking in AAA). Moral of the story, don't trade for Marlins pitching prospects.

I was tempted, especially because of MSU. I was basically down to Ferguson, Gilbert, and him. But I don't quite trust his hitting enough at the major league level, and then it was a toss-up between the other two.

Also, Owens is about the make his debut. Should be fun!

EDIT: As expected, Owens was terrible, giving up 6 runs over 5 innings. Folty made his debut in relief right after, and gave up 4 runs over 3 innings. Yay...
