I'm sorry, I'll get that right to you. I've been busy lately.

Today the Montreal Expos have made a coaching change. After just one month, one shitty and completely expected month, the team fired their manager Bob Boyd. In his one month tenure, he went 9-20.

As his replacement, the Expos have picked a young man out of Southern California by the name of Preston Greene (no relation to the immortal Japanese scout later turned oil tycoon who saved the world in 2012 before creating his own professional baseball league). For such a youthful and unknown manager, people have been saying he has legendary managing skills and can handle any kind of player with ease. However, Preston has a tough task ahead of him. He'll try and turn around this teams horrid performance before Montreal loses all seven fans they gained back under the expansion.

$50 says Greene will be fired by July.

I guess the team I drafted isn't doing much better, right?

They've been a little better (14-15) because their pitching hasn't been complete cancer. They also brought up like five of the prospects, all of whom have been not very good

Also FYI, there probably won't be any updates this week. There's no wifi here, which means I can't take screenshots and would be forced to type everything on my phone. No thank you!

Today is the 2014 MLB Draft, where teams are hoping to shape their future with the help of these young men. Since the Expos had the first pick in the expansion draft, the Cougars will have the first overall selection here today. bunnies

With their first pick (second overall), Montreal went with Carlos Rodon, the stud lefty out of NC State. His stuff features a plus fastball, a plus-plus slider, and an average changeup. Those pitches are coupled with great velocity, control, movement, and a durable frame, making it easy to see the comparison to David Price. Rodon was pricey, costing 7.5 million in signing bonus. But with all the cap room the Expos have, paying the man was a no-brainer.

In the second round, the Expos went with a 1.6 million dollar bat, selecting Virginia OF Derek Fisher. His best attribute is his raw power, which looks like it could consistently put up 30 HR seasons. His contact is also nothing to sneeze at, probably profiling him as a .275 hitter down the line. His fielding and baserunning however are just about average, and while he looks like he'll stay in left or right, there's a chance he could be moved over to first.

Going into the third, Monreal picked the 17 year old 1B Caleb Eldridge. Eldridge looks to have above average power and plate discipline. And yet, he still is prone to strikeouts and the shift. Even as a first baseman, Eldridge is awful on the field and the basepaths and may be more suited in the DH, something the Expos do not have. That said, Caleb was still a cheap sign, clocking in at just a quarter of a million dollars.

To start the fourth, pitcher Brandon Finnegan out of TCU was chosen and signed for about half a million. Finnegan has a nasty fastball and a slight above average slider, but seems to suffer after that. Both his curveball and changeup look to be poor offerings and his control is lacking at times. With more refinement Finnegan looks like he could possibly flourish in a bullpen role, maybe as a future closer.

And during the fifth, the Expos selected C Tim Susnara. Tim's best attributes are his defensive capabilities, which could be possibly be elite at the major league level. The only issue is whether he'll hit enough to get there. His bat could become okay at best, and like most catchers his baserunning leaves much to be desired. But for just 300K, Susnara looks like he can be a nice lottery ticket.

The only draft picks not signed by the Expos were their 12th round pick Casey Lenoch and 13th round pick Jaylen Hubbard.

That bunnies thing was pretty interesting.

Today the MLB announced the rosters for the 2014 all-star game. The 64 representatives can be seen below.



•The Twins led the league with five all-stars, all of whom are at least 30 years old.
•The Reds only have two all-stars, despite having the best record in the league. They likely would have had a third if Sean Marshal had not torn his flexor tendon.
•Representing the lowly Expos, 40 year old Octavio Dotel makes his very first all-star game due to his 1.10 ERA so far this season.
•Stephen Strasburg and Chris Sale have been announced as the starters of the game.
•Dan Uggla, Chase Headley, Ricky Nolasco, and Joe Nathan made the *(censored)* all-star team. What is life?
