November 17, 2004 The Marlins after a 83-79 have fired Owner Jeffrey Loria and GM Larry Beinfest and hired at GM 32 yr old Joseph Acaccia who had played 12 yrs in the majors before a tragic knee injury forced him into early retirement. At the Press Conference, He was quoted saying "Last year this team was the underdog defeating the Yankees in the World Series. This year however we sorta declined I am hoping veterans like Mike Lowell, Luis Castillo, Juan Pierre leading the offensive attack. While in our rotation we have Josh Beckett, Brad Penny, AJ Burnett, and D-Train Dontrelle Willis. Our bullpen may need work even with Armando Benitez in the closers role. Hopefully promising players like Miguel Cabrera, Josh Willingham, can handle all 162 games this season. |

Acquiring Tim Fassero doesn't seem like the right move and getting rid of John Reidling maybe he knows something we don't know yet. In a great move he had just acquired 29 yr old right hander Chris Carpenter who is 3-1 with a 1.74 ERA can these trades spark a winning streak? Using bigger lettering for the headers will make this much easier to read. |
