"Neither do I."
"You're stating the obvious."
"So were you, idiot."
"Whatever, baseball's just a game, what's the deal with this guy, it couldn't be that hard, could it?"
"Why don't you try it yourself?"
"Like it's that easy to just get involved with something like this."
"I can make it easy."
"What?"
"Be at the Diner at 6pm tomorrow."

"You shouldn't."

I didn't have an online pass since my brother lost the manual which has the online pass, so I had to buy it from the psn store.

Yeah, I gotta explain things better!

Jeffrey Loria resigns, unknown comes in as owner, takes over franchise

Jeffrey Loria has resigned as owner of the Miami Marlins and has handed over ownership of the franchise to former high school baseball player Clyde McFloyd, Clyde played at Seneca High and had a 4.75 ERA over 24 innings, struck out 11 and walked 22. He was never a very good baseball player but clearly always had the smarts, having earned over $5000 dollars in fantasy league winnings. He still has much to prove, we have not been able to reach Mr. Loria on why he resigned but we have contacted Clyde."

"I guess he thought I could turn this franchise into a dynasty, I've been decent in my fantasy leagues but to take over an entire team? Astonishing, I don't like the idea of another man running my team so I'll be taking over the General Manager spot and leaving the majority of the owners work to my accountant Emma, I'll still be owner however."

"Clyde, how do you know Mr. Loria?"

"I was a paper boy way back when and actually delivered his newspaper one time, he invited me into his household..."

*Clyde appears to be experiencing a horribly traumatizing memory*

"Anyways, Mr. Loria was a very nice man, I don't know why he handed me the franchise. I'll be telling everyone the rosters and what-all since spring training is about to start."

Spring Training: 8-17

"*(censored)*, we got demolished during spring training."
"Well, what do you expect? We were ranked 26th on the power rankings, now we're dead last."
"I have to release the *(censored)* rosters and shit now, ugh. This is the boring part of the job."
"Well you're stuck in it now. Is Stanton headed?"
"Yeah, for sure, the guy isn't even that good, have you seen him during BP? Thank the *(censored)* lord no other team watches us then."
"Yeah, swinging for the fences on two strikes too, the guy is a lunatic."

Miami Marlins: (0-1)
Washington Nationals (1-0)

Marlins: 1
Nationals: 3

Win: Will Ohman (1-0)
Save: X
Loss: Jon Rauch (0-1)

The Marlins have lost their first game of the 2013 season to the Washington Nationals, the game was tight, no runs being scored until the eleventh, when both teams scored one, the Nationals were just simply better than the Marlins, although the fighting fish gave a strong effort, they gave up two in the thirteenth to succumb to the Senators. Ricky Nolasco pitched well, going seven plus allowing eight hits, walking two and striking out three while allowing no runs.

(I have an idea, I'm going to play less games than I simulate, but show every players start a bunch of times, I'll simulate until Jose Fernandez' second start, then Nathan's third, I'll simulate so I get a new starter every time, then play and show that game.

I love doing Marlins' franchise/seasons because you get to do your own fire sale. I'd recommend that.

Yeah, definitely going to get rid of Nolasco and Stanton among others in June or July.

"Welp, the season's over."
"Don't say that yet."
"Are you kidding me? We've started off the season 0-6, probably going to be 0-7 after today."
"Oh come on, it's Fernandez pitching today, at least we have a chance."
"We got swept by the *(censored)* Mets."
"You have a point there."
"No one is hitting .300, the only guy who is, is Chris Coghlan who's a *(censored)* bench bat and only has 4 plate appearances, going 2-4."
"Well, we'll see what happens."

Dig the Dragnet-style convo. I am picturing Sgt. Friday in black and white, tersely solving the crimes of Loria's roster.

Just the facts, ma'am.

I remember watching an episode of the 2003 version like 7 years ago with my grandpa.

Miami Marlins: (1-6)
Atlanta Braves: (1-6)

Marlins: 2
Braves: 1

Win: Jose Fernandez (1-0)
Save: Steve Cishek (1)
Loss: Tim Hudson (2-1)

Jose Fernandez was a star today, going eight spectacular innings throwing 110 pitches while striking out 9, walking none and carrying a no-hitter into the fifth inning, he did it all today, even driving in his teams two runs with a two RBI single which was the deciding factor this game. Tim Hudson, the opposing pitcher pitched fantastically and only got into trouble once when he gave up the two runs, but pitched 8 solid innings.

"Well shoot me, you were right."
"See, I told you Fernandez was good."
"I'm worried though, he's signed on only until the end of this year. I think he'll want big money."
"He seems like a nice enough guy, plus we've got 10 million in budget room right now."
"Ahh well."
"Anyways, we need to keep losing."
"What?"
"Don't you want a nice draft pick?"
"Well who doesn't?"
"Trade Stanton, Cishek and Nolasco soon, or else."

Miami Marlins (2-11)
Washington Nationals (9-4)

Marlins: 6
Nationals: 10

Win: Jordan Zimmerman (2-1)
Save: X
Loss: Nathan Eovaldi (0-2)

The Marlins have continued their losing woes, falling to the Nationals 10-6. The offense was on an unusual high, scoring six runs, largely led by Adeiny Hechevarria, who went 2-4 with two RBI, with Giancarlo Stanton adding on two as well. This marked the first time the fish scored more than five runs this whole season, and it probably could've gotten them a win if Ryan Webb didn't surrender four runs in the seventh.

"So, why isn't Stanton out yet?"
"We're still losing games, we can't just send him out already, he would provide too much good to another team for too long."
"But we want that."
"Hmm?"
"We want to become friends with a team, maybe get a discount next time."
"Interesting, have any connections?"
"What do you think?"

Wonder why he's only signed for 1 yr., he should be on for at least 4 yrs.

That's what I did for one of my logs, I think it adds more interest to the person playing. You get to use every pitcher.

I like this log. :)
