1 year 440k, at least we can renew his contract if he wants like 3 million a year, not getting that yet. Also, I forgot to put dates.

April 21st, 2013.

Miami Marlins (5-14)
Cincinnati Reds (8-11)

Miami: 2
Cincinnati: 5

Win: Sean Marshall (3-0) (0.21 ERA) o.o
Save: Aroldis Chapman (4)
Loss: Jacob Turner (1-3)

The Marlins played a very solid game today only scoring two runs, but staying in the game until the late innings when Jacob Turner, while tired gave up three hits, and left the game. Jon Rauch proceeded to allow all of those runs to score, setting up the game for Aroldis Chapman to close, his 4th save of the year. Justin Ruggiano smoked one out of Great American Ballpark while Logan Morrison hit an RBI double to account for the Marlin's runs.

"Damn it Clyde, why do you make me run the *(censored)* team?"

Marlins start season fire sale, package Stanton among others to offseason trade partner Toronto and other teams

Toronto just doesn't want its farm system, as the Miami Marlins have orchestrated a deal to acquire 6 of Toronto's young stars for the red-hot superstar Giancarlo Stanton. The Blue Jays are on an eight game winning streak and their offseason moves appear to be moving them towards the postseason, but it did cost them some future stars in the major leagues. The full list of players traded to the Miami Marlins was Roberto Osuna, Aaron Sanchez, D.J. Davis, A.J. Jimenez, Deck McGuire and Marcus Stroman for Giancarlo Stanton and Alfredo Silverio (throw-in player so I could do the whole trade)

As the organization continued their early season fire sale, they also sent CP Steve Cishek to the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for minor leaguers Greg Garcia SS and Victor De Leon SP.

The next trade general manager Clyde McFloyd instituted was packaging Ricky Nolasco along with Tyler Kehrer and Ben Lasater to the Los Angeles Angels for Nick Maronde RP and Alex Yarbrough 2B.

After that, Clyde sent off Joe Mahoney, Dan Jennings and Austin Dean for Pat Light SP, a minor leaguer of the Boston Red Sox.

The final trade of the day, oh boy was that a lot sent Jonathon Albaladejo RP, Jordan Smith RP and Daniel Pertusati RF to the Giants in exchange for Fabio Castillo.

It is assumed the two latter trades were to reduce the sheer amount of players on the roster.

On a side note, Marcell Ozuna was called up to the majors to take over the hole Giancarlo Stanton left, Ozuna is a top notch prospect and more playing time in the majors should increase his ability if he can adjust, Brad Hand was also called up to the MLB. Justin Nicolino was called up from High A to take over the starting role Nolasco has left. (Don't worry! He's a 71 overall. Not sure why he was in A.)

"Honey, come look at this!" said Clyde.

"Oh *(censored)*, how did that happen?"

"I don't know, I'm checking ESPN right now!"

"What the *(censored)* was this, David?"
"It was the right move."
"Bu-"
"Clyde, we're not going to win this season, okay? Toronto gave us the future, we gave them a present, well and the present, heh, get it?"
"Now's not the time for jokes."
"Calm down, we still have some guys who can win games."
"Our highest ranked player is an 81 according to ESPN."
"That's fine."

4/28/13

Miami Marlins (9-16)
Chicago Cubs (13-13)

Miami: 2
Chicago: 1

Win: Brad Hand (1-0)
Save: X
Loss: Kyuji Fujikawa (2-1)

The Marlins are now on a two game winning streak, which is saying something for sure, as they go 2-2 with the .500 Chicago Cubs. Henderson Alvarez pitched seven strong innings only allowing one run but was in line for the no decision as the fighting fish went to extra innings with the Cubs when in the bottom of the eleventh, Rob Brantly hit a walk-off single to end it, the Marlins send Nicolino to the mound who will be making his MLB debut. He was acquired from the Blue Jays in the Jose Reyes deal.

Nice, I bet it'll be fun to try out Nicolino. We 2K guys don't get all the prospects necessarily. :/

May 4th, 2013.

Miami Marlins (16-31) (lel, i played a bunch of games and am releasing it in one update, so these are the records as of May 23rd.)
Philadelphia Phillies (26-21)

Miami: 0
Philadelphia: 7

Win: Cliff Lee (3-4)
Save: X
Loss: Justin Nicolino (0-2)

A tough game for the young lefty Nicolino as he surrenders seven runs in just two innings as the Miami Marlins are shut-out by the former Cy Young award winner in Cliff Lee, the offense just couldn't get anything going as Cliff carried a perfect game into the seventh before the fish finally got a hit. Justin Nicolino is 0-2 since being called up from High-A but has shown some signs of brilliance, striking out the side in his last start during one inning.

May 11th, 2013.

Miami Marlins (16-31)
Los Angeles Dodgers (28-17)

Miami: 3
Los Angeles: 4

Win: Matt Guerrier (7-0)
Save: X
Loss: Alejandro Sanabia (0-1)

Another tough game to swallow, coming after a win the Marlins were hoping that could turn into some momentum after suffering a 5 game losing streak, it appeared the be the opposite after losing to the Dodgers 3-4. Jose Fernandez pitched this game, surrendering just two runs over 6 but coming out with a no-decision, the Marlins did score 3 in the top of the ninth but gave up one run in the bottom of that inning to lose the game.

"Jose Fernandez is doing great."
"I know."
"Shh, I hear something."
*mumbled words*

"No, I can't tell him."
"Why not?"
"It's not in the best interests of the Miami Marlins."
"Aw, gee. That sounds so cheesy."
"Shut up."
+
May 18th, 2013.

Miami Marlins (16-31)
Arizona Diamondbacks (23-24)

Miami: 7
Arizona: 4

Win: Nathan Eovaldi (2-6)
Save: Michael Dunn (3)
Loss: Daniel Hudson (5-2)

The Marlins broke their 3 game losing skid with a solid victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks, Greg Dobbs was a highlight in this game, going 2-4 with 3 RBI. Logan Morrison also did very well with a 2-3 day with two RBI but scoring three runs. Nathan Eovaldi only gave up three runs and had his first quality start in two starts, we talked to him about it after the game.

"You know, I just go out there and do my stuff. I try to be the best I can be and I know that the owners see some potential in me and that I definitely can win some games. I only struck-out four, but I only gave up five hits. I think this can progress into me being a better player overall."

"There's no one doing good on the team."
"Is the team all you care about, Clyde?"
"Well, yeah."
"Let me show you something."
"Oh *(censored)*, when did this happen!"
"Two weeks ago, it's this new stuff, it should be taking effect soon. Doesn't show up on any tests."

Justin Ruggiano, Rob Brantly, Donovan Solano +5 in all batting abilities.

Justin Ruggiano 81-84
Rob Brantly 79-82
Donovan Solano 79-84

Miami Marlins (17-31)
Chicago White Sox (18-30)

Marlins: 2
White Sox: 0

Win: Jacob Turner (5-3)
Save: X
Loss: Gavin Floyd (1-5)

The Marlins win in dominating fashion in interleague action. While they only scored two runs, coming off the bats of Rob Brantly and Logan Morrison. The starting pitcher Jacob Turner had a insanely good outing, he went the whole way for his FOURTH shutout of the year, considering it's not even June, I think we can call this a near breakout season. Turner was acquired from the Detroit Tigers for Anibal Sanchez and Omar Infante. Anibal currently has a 4.09 ERA to Turners 1.89. Infante isn't faring too well either, batting just .246. So this trade appears to be doing quite well for the fighting fish.

"I think we should trade Turner."
"Why the hell would we do that? He's projected to turn into a 97 rating on ESPN."
"Exactly, we would get so much in return, it's worth it."
"No, we're not doing that."
"Did I hear a no?"
"Yes you *(censored)* did, David. You're fired."
"Hmph."

May 30th, 2013.

Alvarez scratched from start.

Henderson Alvarez during practice garned a blister on his finger, it's open and hurts to grasp a baseball according to Mr. Alvarez, it is reported that he will miss his next start. Henderson will remain on the active roster while Tom Koehler will be optioned to AA and stud Roberto Osuna will be called up to make his major league debut.

"Hah, giving PEDS to your own players?"
"Quite the dumb bunch, Mr. Selig."
"Heh, of course."
"What are we going to do about the three players who were part of this experiment?"
"We don't know if they did it willingly or not yet, we do think that they didn't know they were receiving the drugs."
"Good thing we installed these cameras in the plant foliage Mr. McFloyd has in his office."
"Yeah, for sure."
"Why do you think he did it?"
"I'm not quite sure, he seemed like a good character, a good role model."
" I don't like the David character he has as his assistant GM."
"I don't like how Jeffrey Loria resigned, then an unknown like Clyde got the job."
"Think it has anything to do with that David guy? There are much more qualified assistant general managers out there."
"I have a hunch, I'm considering contacting the authorities about him after we finish with this steroid scandal Clyde is part of. I don't want him running the Marlins. See, check out this camera surveillance of the diner."
"What's David doing there with Micah? He was involved with another steroid case few years back."
"Listen."

----------------------

Event took place on May 27th, 2013.

"I thought I had this guy locked in, Clyde."
"Seemed like a good guy, what was your purpose?"
"Take his job. See, I gave three players of the Marlins organization PEDS you can't detect in a blood test, piss test, nothing.
"Quite interesting, so he fired you."
"Yeah, the bitch went there.
"So, how did you get him as owner of the team?"
"Sent Michael and his crew down to see Jeffrey Loria."
"Haha, I got that guy to dispose of some stuff a couple of months ago, good employee."
"Yeah, got him not to talk, he's as silent as a fox now."

-----------------------

"Oh *(censored)*, Clyde didn't do shit!"
"Clyde did do shit, he associated with this man."
"Are we still going to suspend Clyde from all baseball activities like you said last time we talked about this?"
"Wait one second, Clyde fired him."
"You didn't watch the whole thing prior to this?
"Nope."
"Well then."
"I'm definitely going to be contacting Clyde about this man, Micah and the Michael character they talk about. It appears that David was the one who gave Donovan Solano, Rob Brantly and Justin Ruggiano the steroids."
"We'll pursue legal actions on David and the other two he associated with, I'll talk to Mr. McFloyd seperately.
"So we're not suspending the three players?"
"Nah, they will be at increased performance unless we can negate that somehow."
"Ahh, well."

"So now you're involved with drug dealers and criminals, what next?"
"Calm down honey, okay? Seriously, you're pissing me off. I can associate with whoever I want to."
"Oh I'm pissing you off? You're pissing me off, with your stupid as *(censored)* baseball job. It's a game for *(censored)* kids."
"Am I playing it? I'm managing it."
"Same *(censored)* thing."
"Same *(censored)* thing? *(censored)* you, I do all this *(censored)* shit for the two of us, get paid a lot. And you come out after a little thing and treat me like road kill."
"Hah, you're doing the same *(censored)* thing to me, honestly. I could get you in so much shit if I wanted to."
"Oh yeah? I'd like to see that happen."
"Ouch! Stop it Clyde! *whimpers* what did I do!"
*starts punching herself*
"What the *(censored)* are you doing to yourself?"
"Ow, my tooth!" "Why are you doing this!" *coughs*
*pulls out hair, bloodies nose*
"*(censored)* you Clyde! I didn't do shit and you're treating me like a bitch! Ow! No, please!"
*in head* "Oh brother."
*sniffles* "MOM!" *on phone* "Call the police, *sniffles* Clyde is hurting me, NO STOP!"

No sooner than ten minutes later the police were at my door, immediately I was handcuffed.
"This is a mistake, officer!"
*whimpers* "He cheated on me and was trying to get me not to talk."
"It's all a lie!"

-------------------------

"So, Mr. McFloyd, why did you do this to your girlfriend?"
"Heh, I didn't. She was doing that all to herself."
"Her wounds do not look self-inflicted according to one of our most trusted doctors."
"We're currently charging you for aggravated assault. You could face up to 15 years."
"Mr. Jim Gordon, this is all a mistake. She did that to herself! I swear!"
"Why did she do it to herself? If she did."
"We were in an argument, she said she could get me in so much shit, I said, oh yeah? I'd like to see that happen, she then proceeded to punch herself, tug her hair out, etc."
"Hmm, we'll analyze her a couple more times, but right now you're on $15,000 bail."
"Do you take cheques?"

(I'm in the mood to write, so can't get the may 30th game update out.)
"One second, Ed, I've got to take this,"

------

"So I've heard you were involved in a little bit of legal trouble."
"Mr. Selig?"
"In the flesh. Well, you know what I mean."
"Yes, I had a predicament with my ex girlfriend."
"I'm automatically informed when stuff like this happens to owners of teams around the league."
"If you are incarcerated, do you have someone who would take over the team, or would I have to decide that?"
"I had a friend, David."
"Stop right there."
"Huh? I fired the guy I was going to say."
"Yeah, I know."
"Okay..."
"Look, we're concerned about your safety and the legality of some of the things you've done, we know that you, well, David. Was giving steroids to players on your team without their knowledge."
"What are you talking about?"
"I know when you're lying, plus we have video of the discussion."
"Yes, he did. Are you going to do anything?"
"To him, yes, we're still debating about punishing you."
"We need to know more about him, David."
"Where did you meet him?"
"In Philly, a year or so ago."
"Did you know that he was a drug dealer at the time?"
"Of course not sir, I only discovered that when he told me about the steroids."
"Have you ever heard of a Micah or a Michael?"
"Can I tell you something?"
"Of course."
"The only reason I'm owner is because David sent a man named Michael along with his "gang" to "convince" Mr. Loria to resign."
"Is that true?"
"Of course sir."
"Well, I don't think that we'll make you relinquish your control of the team, but we will need to discuss your current trial and the three characters I stated."
"I expect that we'll keep this private."
"Of course."

Thanks, I have to keep writing updates like this since I'm currently away from home and I will be until tomorrow, so expect another update like that this evening after my baseball game, and a game update tomorrow.

"Could you give me David's phone number?"
"Of course, Mr. Selig, 555-0222."
"Thank you, I'll be contacting the authorities."
"So, what did you want?"
"Why did you start associating with him?"
"I thought he was a good friend, he was always kind, laughed at my jokes."
"Only recently when he got Mr. Loria to resign has he been a pompous asshole."
*scribbles something down* "continue."
"He told me he knew people, he could get me a job in baseball, indirectly of course."
"So I went through with it."

(Sorry for the lack of updates, I've had minor writers block, lel. I have an idea though.)

For simplicity, I'll simulate to the draft and show ya that.

"Well, at least we've got a good draft pick."
"That sure is right Mr. McFloyd!"
"Stop being so peppy, Andrew. I only hired you because I "need" an assistant GM according to mr. Selig."

"With the first pick, in the MLB 2013 Entry Draft, the Houston Astros draft Keith Busby, a closing pitcher from Duke University."

"Heh, the idiots."

"With the seventh overall pick in the MLB 2013 Entry Draft, the Florida- excuse me."

*laughing ensues*

"The Miami Marlins select Gary Kojima, a first baseman from Seneca Highschool."

Round 2: Colt Rivera (SP)
Round 3: Kevin Lopez (SP)
Round 4: Scott House (SP)
Round 5: Felipe Castro (SP)
Round 6: Miguel Gonzales (SP)
Round 7: Fransisco Cardona (C)

The last post will be explained, don't you fret.
